The location was brilliant, its a small town anyway but nice to be a stones throw beach and short walk to restaurants. Very friendly staff, bonus for us was the free wi fi vouchers and the free washing they did for us. -

Very affordable accomodation. Peaceful and quiet accomodation away from
the main roads - you don't emphasise this enough in your advertising
as many of the others we considered all ended up being on/near main
roads. Close to 'The Base' for restaurants and shopping. Fresh
towels each day. Sky tv movie channel. -

We were just passing through on the way to snow and had intended staying closer to the mountain but am very pleased we stayed in Turangi instead. The extra space and comfort at Settlers was worth a slightly longer drive to the snow in the morning and the value was fantastic. Helen was very welcoming and helpful, would happily stay again, and like to spend more time in the area.

Staff were friendly and enthusiastic to help. Facilities were adequate and comfortable. Location was fantastic, close to the river and nature walk etc. All in all very happy with the motel and would return gladly.

As we were watching the Ironman most of the day we didn't spend much time in the Motel at all. It was very clean and the owners were friendly. -

I only needed a bed as I was attending a friends birthday party. I was given a room opposite the shower and toilet. This place is not new but my room and the facilities were very clean. I made use of the bookcase in the hallway for a short read before a good nights sleep. I enjoy quirky places and the murals were a highlight - put another spin on

The owners Ian & Liz are fantastic, they are welcoming and very informative they did above and beyond anything i have experienced at a hostel. They decor in the place is amazing...artwork is available from all who have stayed in true to hostel form. If you intend on doing the Tongariro trek its perfect for location and price!!!

Staff were aware of booking when we arrived.
Attractive setting.
Swimming pool.
Fresh milk given to us and enough for more than 1 cuppa.
Comfortable unit including lovely tv chairs.
TV in lounge and bedroom.
Quiet, I was able to get a good sleep. -

The friendly motellier and his care and interest in our opinion. We started in a very small room (the cheapest option) and he offered us the bigger room if we needed it with bathroom and kitchenette for a discounted price as we liked the set up and feel of the place so booked another weekend. -

Pleasant motor inn right on the foreshore of Lake Taupo. Good value for a clean and comfortable room. Excellent facilities provided in the room. Good size bathroom with a spa bath and separate shower. Motel slighlty removed from the main restuarant area, which meant driving but also meant noise reduction.

Betty was great her advice and knowledge was very helpful. The lodge itself was a good base, especially for single travellers or ramblers, fishermen sport loving persons. Great walk in the morning along the beautiful nearby river. Blue the dog is gorgeous, accommodation overall is recommended. Some persons may find it a bit basic, but it is what is and I liked it very much.
