We liked the convenience of the location. Walking through Hagley Park
and on to the Botanic Gardens was great. We also walked to breakfast
some mornnings at Vic's (a great spot!) and dinner at various
restaurants. The desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and
pleasant. They were always ready to help us with directions, etc. We

The ability to check in late (1.30am in my case) by prior arrangement was much appreciated.
The hotel is close to some really nice places to eat. It's far enough from the centre to not feel like you are in the middle of depressing devastation, but close enough to walk to the Re-Start Mall and things that are still open (like the excellent Canterbury museum) in the centre of the city.

Lovely location and great staff, everything was brand new, so much so I feel we were the first in the 3 bedroom apartment. Rooms were large and the 2 showers a bonus. Having a washing machine and dryer and a oven meant staying for a while would be very easy and convenient. -

Attentive staff to special requests. Due to being at the airport, we asked for a quiet room. Asked for a later check-out time, and were granted that immediately. Hotel is undergoing some renovations and we had a nicely re-done bathroom. Great convenience if you need something right at the airport, with some attractions within walking distance (Antartica exploration exhibits)

The one bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. The decor was a little dated but it was comfortable and clean. The central location is great and I enjoy walking around the inner city to see the changes that are occuring in Christchurch. Love the free wifi and morning paper. I would happily stay here again -

The receptionist was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The position was brilliant being local to eating places and within walking distance for the city centre. -

Great hosts who could not have been more helpful. Very surprised (and pleased) that room was cleaned every day. Nice touches of muffins, proper coffee and milk included. Fabulous shower room (and power shower) and organic toiletries - it's the little things which make the difference. -

Great location, easy walking to city center, museums, botanical garden. Dinner at Pescatore was lots of fun and well worth the splurge. Our stay at The George was a luxurious, fitting and relaxing end to our two week drive around the South Island.

We needed somewhere handy to the airport as it was our base for arriving
and departing nz. The staff were more than helpful and happy to
accommodate out needs in terms of picking us up and dropping us off,
holding baggage and helping us out. They couldn't do enough for us.
Although slightly more than I'd hoped to pay, I felt we for value
for money. On our first night we stayed in one of the older apartments,
but it was still cosy and clean. On our final night we were upgraded to
a new executive
