The hotel was excellent value for money and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious.
The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with more space than expected.
The staff spoke good English and were very helpful.
The hotel also runs a frequent shuttle bus too and from the JR Kyoto train station which is very convenient. -

There are not a lot of places to visit near to the hotel, but it is only a short walk to the stop for the bus to Gion. The hotel shuttle bus is great for getting to the station, from where you can get transport around the whole city.

A perfect hotel if you'd like to get away from the japanese business hotels with the small rooms. If you are traveling as a family or if you are older, this is the best choice in Kyoto as far as I'm concerned. The hotel is located on a rather busy street with lots of shops and restaurants, and also just a few minutes from the Kyoto shiyakusho-mae subway station, that will take you to and from Kyoto station. Just walk across the street and a bit further in and you'll find one of Kyoto's busiest

We had a very japanise style room. Very luxurious with privated garden. The bathroom was a dream. May be the best I´ve ever been. I can highly recommend it if you want a relaxing and typical japanise experience. A true ryokan. The bicycle facilities were very appreciated! -
