The staff was very nice and kind, but I'm not the kind of
costumer that makes requests. The reception were very sofisticated

Stayed 11 nights in this wonderful city and had read about Citadines
Karasuma,indeed,it´s as most people say. Very comfortable and super
clean hotel. In one of the most busy avenues of Kyoto but when inside
what you really hear is just a slight traffic rumour. The room maids
where very good, altough I usually left the towels and kimono hanging
they nonetheless changed everyday. The fully equiped kitchenette is a
plus for a snack or light meal if you´re to tired to go out. Just

rooms are basic and simple, but beautiful tatami rooms. This hotel is
really a traditional Japanese house with the upper floor given to 5
bedrooms for guests. Shared toilet and nice mineral bath. This is a
place for quiet, relaxing time in the traditional manner.

Authentic Ryokan accommodation and an ideal base from which to explore beautiful Kyoto. We found the location peaceful and accessible and it was easy and safe. They had everything we could ever want at the Inn. Such as towels, a variety of dishes, tourism pamphlets, coffee maker, bottles of water, shampoo and condition, dishwasher, washer and dryer! We didn't need to bring anything other than ourselves and our clothes.
It was very spacious for 5 people!
There was lots of English around to help us use the appliances!

The staff was lovely, kind, and unfailingly helpful. They were able to direct me to every place I needed to go. The subway station is three blocks away with a five minute ride to Kyoto Station. The bus stop in front of the hotel will get you to most of the major attactions.

We were looking for a typical and traditional Japanese ryokan, and we found it. Great experience! Rooms are big and comfortable. Even though they don't speak good English, staff is helpful and friendly. It's located in a cool and quiet little street, but very close to an animated block and subway stations. Free wi-fi. Good value for money.

All that we thought we needed - it was right there for us. The bathrooms and toilets were really clean and they were always accessible despite being common to all guests.

This is a traditional house that you fully get to rent. It is a traditional house, so expect tatami floors, futon beds, low table etc. It is the real thing, where many other hotels in ryokan style are more imitations of japanese housing styles.
