We have spent 5 days in the place and really enjoyed the location close to the sea. Just crossing the road takes to the beach and two restaurants nearby. There is a bus stop, several shops around and you can rent a car as well. The town is not noisy while still on a short distance to Chania. The closest beach is not a large one but it is still convenient and you can get in 10 minutes by bus to another one, much larger. Great food in local restaurants, nice location for a late walk. The staff (especially the day staff, Georgia and Sylvia) were wonderful - probably the most friendly and helpful we have ever encountered on holiday. The apartment was well-presented, comfortable and immaculately clean. Maleme is a fairly quiet resort but - overall - Mythos Beach's location and proximity to the beach make it ideal for a quiet, relaxing break.

The owner maintains a small store with basic supplies on the compound, which is very convenient considering that the ~30 people settlement is a long way from places with shops and does not offer any reasonable supply. The place is definitely worth driving the narrow road up to it.

As people have always been my first priority while travelling I can't
help saying a few words about the staff..
They are very professional, useful, always ready to help and superfriendly. All of them,starting from the reception guys and finishing by our housemaid, did their best to let us feel like at home.
I did regret we were staying only six days It was really sad to leave.

The whole trip was just lovely and I wouldn't have changed a thing. My previously holiday-shy boyfriend loved everything about the holiday and especially the restaurant (Corinne Star) in the grounds of the hotel. It was the best of the restaurants we tried in both Kalamaki and Chania. The staff were very hard-working, warm and helpful. The beachside setting was beautiful, westward facing so you can enjoy the sunset while eating dinner at the poolside. Really hoping we can come back soon :)
