  I arrived really late at night, which was very scary in such a busy city, however when i got there the man on the desk made me feel so much at ease and was so welcoming!   The staff was awesome. The reception staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, all so friendly. It was clean, and the hotel is near the station, and very close to the famous Chapel Street (Restaurants/Shopping) Very good value for money, and the room was comfortable. I would surely go to the Claremont next time I am on holidays around Melbourne. I do ... lo que la gente dice » recommend it to students/backpakers/travellers/couples and anybody who is looking for a very 'good value for money' hotel, cheap, and (close to town). - It is not a luxury hotel and is at the lower end of the price scale, but it is excellent for what it was. The place was kept immaculately clean and the staff were assiduous and very helpful. They were extremely good in serving breakfast, which was another bonus, and the front desk team were very friendly and accommodating. I thought this hotel superb value. It is right beside South Yarra Metro station, which has very frequent service 6 minute to and from the central part of Melbourne.

  Good standard hostel is really good value and in a great location near (one block back parallel to esplanade) Apollo Bay and within easy reach of some of the best sights on the glorious Great Ocean Road, owner/manager very helpful and knowledgeable and told me road to use to see koalas sleeping in the trees - and they were right there, fab! - Onl... lo que la gente dice » y stayed overnight while travelling and had never stayed in Backpackers before.   Great hostel. Friendly staff. Very clean and great kitchen facilities. It felt like you were staying "at home". Would certainly recommend staying here. - I like EVERYTHING there - quiet, clean, comfy, friendly boss, eco surroundings - simply awesome (Thumbs UP)

  Great location! Only one block away from the city centre & the other direction is the Melbourne museum. Modern accomadation with neat & tidy rooms. Kitchen was large & spacious & always appeared clean. Sunny days the roofs sun deck is perfect to catch a tan. I was concerned that I would be staying a a dive but I was rapt with the facilities, price, and location of Space in Melbourne. I will be staying again even if I was travelling on my own! I was amazed that there was even a Movie theatre.

  We had two bedrooms in a four bedroom cottage. Fortunately for us only one of the other two rooms were occupied the evening we were there. Their was a great choice of cereals and preserves for breakfast. - The room was in the different building from the dorm best, it was quit, had a big living room in case you want to make food.
