The staff was great, I got the room I booked, and the room and hotel were comparable to other more expensive hotels I've stayed at. I would definitely stay there again. I liked the friendly and accomodating staff. I enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel restaurant in the mornings. They have a nice pool that is sheltered out of the wind. Very convenient location; easy to find, easy access to local restaurants, nice facilities, very nice rooms.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room and a reasonable rate. The price was right in the range I was looking for. Lovely room, nice furnishings, comfortable. Food was very good and priced right. the room was very spacious. it was quiet. It was clean and was comfortable. I liked how you needed your key to even enter the building. Server/waitress was very pleasant in cafe also. Staff was accommodating to my situation, considering that this hotel is a bank owned hotel. The staff was good ,very concerned with the guests comfort. refrigerator n coffee maker Was in room. would have been nice to have had a micro in room, also a continental breakfast for those who don't like to eat a heavy, greasy breakfast.... didn't care for the town.. The toilet seat is much too small to be comfortable for anyone but a small child. There were ants in the bathroom sink area and the knob on the wall heating unit was broken. When I went to the front desk about the ants they put us in a new room right away. Room was located in an adjoining building, rather distant from front desk. I seemed to be the only person there. Long walk from room to lounge. motorcycle club members were staying at hotel and came in at all hours of the night, staying in the hall talking very loudly - didn't have anything to do with hotel quality but did make it a rough night. a bit on the shabby side. room keys did not work twice,. A little run down. The hot tub was lukewarm and the jets didn't work. Dirty Windows Soiled chairs Filty around the walkways; cigarette butts all over Disgusting pool area to look at thru our dirty window from our room. Rooms need to be updated. Carpet had bulge in middle of room. TV old. Need modern Flat screen. Bathroom fixtures need to be updated. The building smelt awful, mold covered the bathroom ceiling, pool was filthy, cracks in walls and flooring. Overall awful experience I would never stay at a Clarion again or recommend it to anyone. If it wasn't for the staff and location we would have walked out right away. Air conditioning non-functioning. furnature worn and stained. The person at the front counter was the worst I've seen! Rude. Seriously bad. I'm not just one of those who goes around rating places and complaining. She was horrid. Not Sara; the other one. Horrid!!!. Room had a smell, Bed comforter also Smelled . Could not control the temperature in our room. Slept much too warm, system did not respond to trying to cool the place down. Staff was apologetic and said they would talk to the GM. Tub needs a better drain. Located in a bad part of Yakima. But you can tell it is improving. Also seemed dated and the hallways were dim. Shower head didn't work correctly. Check in was very slow and I had to.come back to pick up meal tickets because they didn't know which ones to give. The room had obviously been a smoking room at one time because you could still smell it. I wish I was told, because I have such a strong sensitivity to cigarette smoke smell. The WIFI was pathetic. If you're gonna advertise free wireless internet, it better work. The furniture was very old and the mattress felt as if I was sleeping on a box spring. Correction if I was able to sleep it would feel as if I was sleeping on a mattress. I didn't even dose off for a minute. This was not a three star hotel, the carpet had a wrinkle two inches hi in front of the bed. I stayed there when it was a red lion what a difference. The hotel needs to spend a few $ to bring it up to a three star. no microwave.
