I found the staff extremely polite. The location was perfect for sightseeing. I really enjoyed the comfort of the beds, the kitchenette, the a/c., everythin. We would definiteky stay there again, and we will recommed the Hotel to all of our friends. Hotel Lombardy is a really nice, cosy hotel at an excellent location. The hotel staff is very friendly en helpful, the room superb! Next time in Washington, we'll definitly be staying at Lombardy's again.
all reviews » I asked for a room on a particular floor,facing a certain direction and was accommodated.My computer was not connecting to the internet and they sent someone right up. We were treated like VIP's! I highly recommend this hotel and will definately stay there again when we're in the area. Food and service were excellent.Superb hotel. Parking was a little pricey. No. elevator. stained carpet in room (though vacuumed clean, of course), noisy air-conditioning, getting ice requires room service. You do not have a lounge. long wait for the elevator. Every time we returned to our room in the evening the cleaner had left the lights on. Very wasteful of energy. The lift men and the restaurant staff were very friendly but the woman at reception was rather surly. We would have preferred a view on Penn Avenue!. Luggage rack and drapery rod needed repairs; lots of street noise. Air conditioning could have been better. the elevator is really outdated. two old style lifts which need to be operated by bell-boys. Allow extra time to leave in the mornings.bath was broken. Heating system in the room wasn't working. Pricy (200$/night): I spent less for better hotels in the same city. Noisy: my room was on the 2nd floor and facing on the back ally, and the trash collectors/cleaners were doing a racket every night and morning. No pay-per-view movies. No shops/pharmacy nearby to buy any necessity.Not everyone from the personnel was attentive. elevator. Small room and furniture was a bit worn. Not the hotel's fault, but construction next to hotel began promptly at 9 am. They could have a better cleaning staff and the air conditioning could be less noisy.
