We were delighted with everything about the location, accomodations and service. I don't know if it was southern hospitality or Hilton training, but everyone we came in contact with, including coffee shop and bar personnel, were friendly and efficient. Got a great price through letsbookhotel.com as well. Also traveling with my daughter and her family; equally successful experience. This was a great location and a very nice hotel. The staff was fantastic and the value was the best in the area. Ii see other reviewers post about the walls being thin and yes, from the bathroom vent you can hear the people in the adjacent room. But it is not as loud as the other reviewers lead me to believe. I am so glad we booked this hotel. Great four night stay!!!.
all reviews » Staff was friendly and helpful. Bar was top notch. 10th floor was private and quiet. Everything is luxurious except the rooms. Overall it was a great experience but I was just expecting more. I guess its my fault. I expected to much. Maybe ill try a 5 star next time. Superb staff. I had poor driving directions to the facility and had to ask for detailed assistance from the desk. The person at the desk located someone at the door who spent ten minutes on the phone assisting me in finally reaching the hotel. The hotel staff are very polite. The hotel is clean and the location is OK but far from Metro station. The coffee maker, cups, Italian coffee packets plus the sugar and tea in the room is very good. Hotel staff were very friendly, the hotel was busy and the bars were a nice kinda busy. Great food in the area, good bars in the Adams Morgan area... easy to get in and out of. He also made sue to change the airport shuttle reservation accordingly. Goos location, easy access to metro system. Maid service replenished shampoo & conditioner daily. Clean. Location , people. smoking section. price location. Position. All was just fine. The room felt like a modern holiday inn. For a 4 star hotel you would think the rooms would be fancier. Also an hdtv with no hd cable? Who does that. Get hd channels in there and update the rooms. I'm not rich and expected more for my money. We stayed on the 10th floor and the rooms weren't very luxurious. Nothing. Very nice facility. Room WIFI is not free. The room does not come with free breakfast. Car parking is expensive. No refrigerator in the room. Two water battles are provided in the first night ONLY. Nothing. Parking was extra and super expensive. Should be a little more reasonable for hotel dwellers. Also in room dining is generally expensive and as frequent travelers we are prepared for that but here it was definitely much more expensive. The room was a bit tiny but had all the necessary amenities. Upon arrival we informed the registration clerk that we would like to pay cash but nothing was mentionned in our file and upon departure (at 5 AM!!) we had to argue with the clerk since she had already debited our credit card. At the end the matter was settled by the night manager. Not knowing we'd have to spend $36 each day to park our car in their lot. We only stayed 4 nights and it cost almost $150 just to park our car. Every other hotel I've ever stayed in let paying overnight guests to park for free. So our $99 a night deal became $148 a night after taxes and parking. Not quite what we had in mind. There is not complementary internet in The rooms. There was a crying dog left in the room next to mine. I called down to the front desk more than 5 times to no avail. Then, I called Security which they already knew about. Finally, the hotel made amends and gave me a free voucher to the breakfast and free hotel. With all of that, I still violated because the next morning, I was still tired in that I had flown from Seattle WA to Washington DC the same day and was looking forward to a great night of rest and relaxation!. Park fees... 26 USD/night.. too much.. any other park alternativ. - loud aircondition - low shower waterflow (very low GPM) - expensive in-room internet - long way from elevator to room. No free wifi was a disappointment and the parking fee outrageous . :(. Parking fee too high ($36/day). Big hotel with long hallways, and our room was near the end of one of those. The room and TV were a bit small. When I inquired about adding an night to by stay, it was priced at $379! a 280 dollar difference for the same room seems extreme,. Could be closer to the main attractions in Washington. The staff wasn't friendly enough (unless you were paying some additional). The king room seemed small. small room. No fan in restroom, walls too thin and no fan to drown out noise, not as close to metro as I thought. Room too small. it is little far for walking visit of the Washington Mall. Big Convention was there when we were there, so the elevator was slow. No wifi included. Swimming pool was no open for use. parking. The staff at reception is so slow that there are always lines to check in (it is faster to check in in small hotels and motels with just 1 person working at front desc). Parking - its abscence. Hilton is so greedy to offer only valet for 32 USD per 24 hrs and it does not matter that you arrive late and depart early - the require full price. So we fount public parking for 24 hours for like 25 USD. Anyway, charging 115 USD per night it is so cheap not to have a public parking for the quests. Breakfast was below expectations. Service was poor. Small rooms. Metro a 10 to 15 minute walk away. -Charged extra amount from my credit card. They said they will deduct it but still they did not. -Wi-fi at room must be free. -Breakfast is expensive. Got 2 double beds and the shower pressure and drain were terrible!. seemed that the front desk and consierge station were routinely understaffed. When a person was there, he or she was very helpful, but there seemed to be too long of time gaps when the stations were understaffed. The price was unreasonable, this was the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, and I usually love Hilton. Staff was not very welcoming or helpful. Cost, internate cost, food, room , exuctive loung, communication, services. valet parking service some areas of the like bathroom door noy clean no extra blanket or pillow no counter space in bathroom. paper thin walls noisy no wifi in room empty tissue box. No dining facilities in an evening other than a very limited bar menu. The bathroom is too small. It has a sliding door because of the size which does not offer enough privacy.
