This was a very convenient place to stay. We were close enough to restaurants and the ball park. I liked that there was a fridge and microwave in the room. I liked the ice machine. Most of all, the staff at the front desk was amazing. They helped with dinner reservations, and transportation. They were simply wonderful. Excellent location for walking to downtown galleries and Old Town walking. Also, a particularly excellent value, especially when you consider the luxury resorts and upscale restaurants here. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly -- allowed us early check in and late check out.

Also the rooms were very nice and much better than many other hotel rooms I've paid double the price for! The staff was very friendly and courteous :). This was the best of all 8 places we stayed on our trip. It was spotlessly clean, the room spacious and well laid out . The location was handy for the freeways. Staff knowlegeable and helpful. Loved that is was very cheap rates and the rooms had great curtains. Completely dark until I climbed out of bed which was 9am. Very quiet! No problems!! Loved it! Will be back!. The staff and front desk were helpful and friendly. The coffee was excellent. For a low budget motel it was in a great location and the premises are kept clean. Ease of access to get to other areas. I had a visitor with a pet, while I stayed in Scottsdale at the HoJo's. The visitor with the pet only came in for a few hours. In the short time they came to get me, their dog found a pizza crust under the dresser. That was gross and embarrassing. Nothing I can think of at this time. Small towels. I would suggest take your own.. The ice machine made slushy ice cubes. Refrigerator freezes everything unfortunately. Phoenix is very warm so you need to sleep with air-conditionning and it could be a bit noisy for sleeping. Internet connection was slow. N/A. The only negative comment we had was that the outside porches/patios and stairwells need to be swept daily. there were cigarette butts, bottles and caps left by guests and various debris - even some things that clearly fell off the maids' cart. The rest of the place was so lovely and this just didn't seem to get attended to. 2nd night of our stay, a small group was out in parking lot until 4 am drinking and talking loudly. No sleep. When complained to front desk woman in morning (another person from check-in day), she was disinterested and lacked any concern. The bed was a bit hard. Our window was broken. There was nothing I didn't like. our freezer froze everything in it, we turned it way down but the following night everything re-froze. Refrigerator in room did not work Air conditioning unit was very loud (rattled & hummed). nothing all seemed well to me. Noisy air conditioning. Not used to the heat. Slim on towels in the room. Towels were rough. I had to contact the front desk because the lamps in the room were not plugged in. When we opened the door to our room a dirty coffee cup was sitting on the TV stand. The outside garbages were full with beer cases. room was nice----went to leave at 7 am and we were locked in room--deadbolt would not budge- told by front desk maint not due in until 8:30--luckilylady at front desk was able to force door open---this was not a good feeling especially if there would have been a fire. Horrible hard small pillows. Saturday night entertainment by the pool was a guy singing not good very off putting. Unable to connect to wireless internet and staff couldn't help with that. Gave me 2 passwords and neither worked. Only main complaint is bath didn't have an exhaust fan so I had to move furniture to get to the mirror in the main room to put make up on. Air con didn't seem to keep the room cool I know it was very hot. Reservation from Booking Com was made for a 2 night stay. Hotel had only a record for a 1 night stay. Hotel staff was able to promptly and efficiently correct this error but unable to modify the original Booking Com rate. I was happy with the staff efforts. A bit loud maybe. no major complaints, pool towels were a bit thin. nothing. A/C didnt work well 3 out of 4 stays. TV poor reception 2nd night. Bad bathroom layout. Fans didn't work. Bathroom hot and mirrors wouldn't clear up. none. I enjoyed my stay. The room layout made movement by two people a bit awkward at times. There was very little room between the end of the beds, the desk and the cabinet holding the television. The towels are a bit on the small side for bath usage. The continental breakfast offered was a bit sparse, but it was free. Parties in the connecting room which was right above the office. When I called the man said "oh I heard that noise" it was 2am! So we moved at 230am and then the room they moved us was dirty! We gave up and left the room didn't return for the night we had already paid for. Breakfast was poor value we went to McDonald's 1mile away instead. the floors where so dirty my one year old couldn't crawl on the floor. He did at first and his hands and knees and the tops of his feet turned black it was disgusting. Thank goodness we had our playpen......
