The hotel is very well located and extremely near Union Square. Everyone at the hotel is nice and they gave us a very good room. The room was large and had all the extras that you may wish for: safe, excellent shower and bathtub, refrigerator, tv, radio.....fantastic cost benefit - ratio for a simple hotel that offers you everything you need. Central hotel location. feel at ease. Nice room, quite and large, good bed, free internet access in lobby, ideal location just one (steep) street up from Union Square. LOCATION TO OPERA HOUSE,SHOPPING, MUSEUMS AND BALLPARK. you can't beat it for the location and price. Proximity to Downtown etc. Location is great, comfort and complimentary breakfast is just enough, free PC's with internet always extremely useful. Overall a very good choice both for business and and leisure travellers. (the pretty steep block on Powel is anyway a good exercise). Close to the cable car and easy to get around the city.Clean and neat room..comfortable bed and nice shower and bath. The room was a quiet room and the hotel is very well situated.the quality of the bed, the cleanliness. Hotel staff is always friendly.Location and cleanliness. Really close to the shopping area, restaurants, bars, clubs...Location is excellent. Close to all major forms of transport and very easy to get to from Airport (using mass transit). When you walk out the door of the hotel you are close to all the sites. location excellent. We were very happy and surprised with the service we got for a simple hotel. Even the simple breakfast was nothing less than what was advertised. By the way, coffee was free all day long. Breakfast could have been better - coffee should be free to hotel guests. breakfast was tiny, just coffee and pastries. If you are at the front of the hotel it is very street noisy.Friends were at the back and it was quiet.No view from side rooms (but really quiet). The reception staff could be improved, they were not very friendly, it was as if the guests bothered them!. the lack of view. It's quite noisy at night as we can hear the sound of people walking or talking in the other rooms. Parking is not included ($20/day). room in front of hotel was a bit noisy (not hotel's fault) we were there during Chinese new year celebrations.
Floor of room was not level. Old building caused a slant in the floor.room had no tea making facilities,no refridgerator .we had to ask for extra pillows as the bed had only one almost flat pillow each side. Hotel should not give rooms on the floor that being under renovation.From part of the rooms the view from window is wall of adjacent building- almost no natural light in the room. No window or any ventilation inthe bathroom. No air conditioner. Heating is central, but did not workpart of the time. No Hair dryer .
