Loved our stay. We live only about 30 mins. north of San Diego and try to stay at the West Gate at least twice a year. It is like being on a vacation even though we are residents. Absolutely love staying downtown. -

This is the best Hotel in the area from what we saw. The view was the best. We started in a "partial view" suite which was more of a full view. Suite is really comfortable especially for longer stays like 7 nights.The free parking were good. The complimentary coffee/tea in the foyer/reception were really a big benefit. Breakfast is very good.Free WiFi the best! -

Everything! I was blown away with the beauty of the lobby! The staff was wonderful, our room was fantastic, (corner king), the food was good (pulled pork was best I've had in ages!), and the views were gorgeous. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.
