Was greeted at check-in with a glass of white wine. Just what I needed after a long day at work! The staff are happy and have great personalities. Probably because they let some of their employees bring their dogs to work. And the design was very unique and posh. We absolutely loved this hotel! Very friendly staff, willing to help us with directions and local attractions. Our room was beautiful. The location was perfect for us... Near everything!!! Gaslamp district was great!!! Thank you so much for everything!.
all reviews » We loved the view from our room. The size of the room was very nice and the comfort of the bed was extremely pleasant. We alsoblived the fact that housekeeping left a written note to welcomes to the area VS. a television prompt. The hotel is good, the location isn't safe though, and I didn't like the bathrooms in the rooms not enough privacey and when you take a shower the water goes every where. The staff was exceptional in all respects. The free bike use was great for getting around. The location in the Gaslamp was awesome. Excellent room, excellent pool and facilities. Would stay here again in the perfect location for the Gas Lamp district. Perfect location, great rooms, friendly staff. It was so nice that we almost didn't want to go out and see the city!. Excellent customer service! Every person I encountered at the hotel was friendly, delightful and happy to help!. Room was large with plenty of space. I would recommend that thehotel update their rooms to ALL having tubs. It would make the stay much better.. the bathrooms and he wooden floors. A guy on reception was so rude and un helpful!. Insufficient number of of hooks in bathroom for towels (only one and we were two). Large desk prevented getting to window to enjoy view. A smaller desk would have been adequate - even for the tv. Cost for parking was higher than expected. The plumbing in the restaurant wasn't working therefore no food/restaurant. The door on the bathroom didnt close all the way. And there were no paper towels in the lobby bathroom. Swimming Pool gets no sun at all. I did not like having to leave, but I know where we will be staying the next time we go to San Diego. I booked this hotel because of one amenity, Shuttle transportation within 3 miles of the hotel . One we arrived, We were told that the shuttle was no longer in existence This led to a unexpected expense of $35 For cab transportation. The policeman who ticketed my car in valet parking. My son had been driving my car and forgot to give me back the key. Once we turned off the ignition we could not re start it without the key. Unfortunately he could not get the key to us quickly enought for the policeman. The Wi fi are not free. The shower was poorly designed and water flooded te bathroom. The gym was pathetic in design and lighting. That I had to leave and check out. Corner of bed was very sharp and we both hit our ankles on it. Pool closed down early for private use with no prior notice. Liked it all. car parking charges and WI-FI are too much. nothing. valet parking bill (too expensive). The internet should be for free!. the desk staff were not very helpful. not a 4-star hotel. Small impractical room. the arrogance and inefficiency of the staff. overpriced parking, dirty rooms,. They need to pay better attention to their room cleanliness detail. Our reservation was for a room with two beds. As others have stated they changed the reservation when we arrived and one in our party had to sleep on a very small couch. No curtains or privacy in the bathroom, shower area. No in room coffee. Small rooms, lack of closet space, no bathroom amenities pack or shower gel, little attention to detail in upkeep. Breakfast and Internet not included, breakfast service chaotic. very noisy due to close buildings around.parking only vale and lots of money. big room but most part is on coridor that cant be usable. The bathroom was not really well conceived the room was small. Everything the staff are not nice at all.
