  Loved the size of the room! We had a huge bath and a whole separate walk- in closet/dressing area. There was a full length mirror, 2 dressers and plenty of hanging space. We could put all our luggage in there and then shut the door so we didn't have stuff spread all over the room. Ir was great! Also the hotel provided a free town car - and although website said no more than 3 miles - they took us to the Botanical Gardens and o - Beautiful, historic, first-class hotel. Excellent service. By far my favorite hotel in Galveston. I live in Beaumont TX only a couple of hours away. Been to Galveston too many times to count and have stay - The Galvez Hotel is a beautiful old hotel that has been magnificently restored and kept up to date. It is right on the seawall and beach and has a rich and interesting history. I like that this is prominently displayed and guests are made aware of its history. We especially enjoyed the older gentlemen curator in the lower level where a lot of pictures and artifacts are displayed. This gentlemen should be specially acknowledged as he brought the history and stories to life.

  This hotel has an excellent shuttle service for taking guests to places nearby. It took us shopping, dinner and breakfast. It was very comfortable to use it and we saved a lot of money on taxis or renting a car. The drivers were very friendly and we just had to wait a bit when they picked us up (the longest was about 20 minutes). It was clean, and quiet. There was easy access to the freeways, 10 minutes from downtown. 15 minutes from the airport on Sunday morning at 8 am.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will defin - When checking in , I was asked by a gentlemen named Albert what was the reason of our trip. I stated it was my husband & I 24th wedding Anniversary, which he stated I will give you a upgrade. Come to find out we were upgraded from a one bedroom to a 3 bedroom presidential suite for no additional charge!! This was the biggest & nicest hotel room I have ever seen!! I would like to say Thank You to Hilton & staff for a very wonderful & enjoyable stay!

  We stayed for 5 nights which gave us the opportuniy to use most of the excellent facilities at the hotel. We ate in the Restaurant a few times,had snacks in the Bar and always ended the day with a Cocktail back at the hotel. What sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff, the Reception, Concierge, Bar Staff, Restaurant Staff to the Girls in Bliss... what people say » nothing was too much trouble. Just a special mention for the concierge who arranged Ice Hockey tickets at the American Airlines Center and transport - I liked my room, and in particular the chaise lounge. The gym was well above the typical hotel gym. Fernando, the bartender, was friendly, kind and attentive. I had a wonderful stay at the W Dallas
