  The best overall friendly staff I've encountered in recent travels. Helpful and pleasant with being obsequious. Other than "live dinner music levels"*, a very quiet place to stay, even though "pet friendly". The management might want to survey guests to see if the dinner music is as much a "value added" factor as they think. We found it too loud w... what people say » hen inside and distracting to conversation even when the music was outside and we elected to eat inside. - Spacious room with balcony overlooking river. Clean ,comfortable and very diligent chambermaid (Julissa). Bellhops and valet parkers were exceptionally polite and attentive and the driver of the shuttle service to downtown/ uptown Oak Creek Brewhouse was courteous, pleasant and an informed (his name was the Dutch word for 'scholar' and sounded like Scheeler, but that is probably an approximation.

  Normally we couldn't afford to stay in this luxurious 5 star hotel but off season the value is incredible. Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect apart from the restaurant.   The resort was amazing with all it had to offer. We enjoyed the pool, tennis and hiking. The accomodations were beautiful! - Staff was very accommodating. Lots to do for everyone. Great pool and spa facilities.

  Loved having the golf course right outside the door. We went hiking by crossing the highway and getting on the trail. Close enough to tourist activities for convenient visits, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. - Extremely friendly staff It is an older but well maintained hotel.   i mainly stay at san marcos because of location. because i stay at san marcos so often a couple of the staff know me by name when they see me which is really cool!! - I love what you've done with the new renovations thus far. My room is more comfortable and looks more like a resort.

  The in room dining made a lasting impression on both of us. The servers were personable and the chefs were thoughtful with their presentation. (And the food was great). The entire staff was pleasant and very helpful.
