Awesome stay! Very clean! Everything from the food to the staff and the rooms were perfect. The manager was so helpful as I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with an intimate dinner. He arranged to get me a table cloth, candles, gave us free complimentary drinks, set me up with a flower shop, and helped me with dinner arrangements for our room. Struck up conversations with staff that make a personal touch in the restaurant. Asian meal was healthy: rice, seaweed, kimchi, miso soup... Public transportation stops right in front of the hotel to take you to the train right into the City. I will stay here again whenever I'm in NYC. Helpful staff, free shuttle minibus operating from 4am and they would come to pick you up even if you transfer from jfl to LaGuardia in late hours.Just ring them and they will send a bus for you. Hotel located a bit too far from nyc (however, this is only a problem by night - the last bus connecting the subway station to the hotel is scheduled at approx. 1:30 am). Shower system because the handle of the shower was not that much good to control mixing of hot water and cold water for a proper showering. I think there was problem with the gasket and because of that the water was either cold of extremely hot if you turn the handle a liitle!. Breakfast was very poor, nothing to eat at all, unless you can eat oat porridge from the packets, all plates and cups are made from plastic. Spending another night in Queens. The maids came really early to clean the room and I told them to come back in one hour. No one ever did. Use of disposable crockery and cutlery at breakfast was disappointing for a smart hotel. we thought breakfast should have been included in the deal. Pool was nice feature with outside seating but jacuzzi not hot enough and lifeguard not very helpful or friendly. Didn't like having to pay $5 to use the computer in the business center. But if I had a laptop, the WiFi would have been free. The free airport shuttle never arrived at the airport even after waiting for 30 minutes. I had to find an alternative mode of transportation. tv need up date, and the water in the shower was over flowing it was clog.but the rest was good. Rebranded from a Crown Plaza and it was just a bunch of stickers over the old logo. Van was slow and in poor visual condition. Nothing!. Nothing!!. Not many "extras" in the room, not even info on the hotel, menus, etc. Maid service was very late in the day one day and another day they took the used soap and didn't leave more. These were minor "didn't like" things though. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Not much within walking distance. Hotel is about due for an update. Very hard to find.Gps won't recognise address. Very old fshioned crt tvs. Long lines at front desk. Little outdated as far as decor and TVs. No laundry facility and room kind of had a musty aroma. The first room i was assigned had the worst smell- despite being a non smoking, it smell like someone smoke so more cleaning and fabreeze required. The bartender was not very friendly to start, but warmed up after a little while. Lack of restaurant choices in the area. nothing. There is no exact phone number to call shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I took a taxi (and the taxi driver even didn't find the address and I even used my google map to direct him) to go to the hotel and found hampton inn and this hotel used the same shuttle. breakfast was boring and bar closes to early on the weekends. it wasn't clear that you shared the parking with the Hampton Inn. No restaurants close by. No hot breakfast. fridge to small. N/a. Loved everything.
