-Perfect location on the Pacific shore in the quiet town of Pacific Grove. -Rooms are rather small, but cosy; each of them bear a specific decoration and name; we stayed in classic style Mariposa room, with had a great corner ocean view; -the frontdesk old guy was truly a character - he walked us to our room and then gave us a short tour of the proprety and complimentary cookies; -free wi-fi, parking and pretty good breakfast;.
all reviews » Everything about our stay was perfect. We relaxed, went for walks and enjoyed taking in the gorgeous views. We were pampered by the entire staff. The accommodations were fabulous. We also enjoyed mingling with the other guests at breakfast, the early evening wine and cheese, and late-night cookies and milk. It was truly a memorable experience. Thank you. We loved absolutely everything! When we arrived we got a great tour of the facility. Our cottage was beautiful and we felt immediately relaxed and pampered. It was then time for wine and cheese! The staff was terrific and we would definitely stay at the Seven Gables every time we're in Monterey. Everything was perfect! Very comfortable rooms and beds. Extremely helpful and nice staff. Very Clean. Sea view. Complementary afternoon wine and cheese. Somewhat expensive but worth even more. Highly recomended!. Room freezing at night, no hot water in the morning in the cottage. I bought the cookbook specifically because I wanted the recipe for the granola and the delicious scones that were served that morning, "Carters scones?.". However, the scone recipe was NOT in the book but the person who sold it to me said it would be in there. Later the gentleman said he would send me the recipe but I have not received anything.
