staff - friendly and very helpful, changed our room the following day we asked for it, rooms - very nicely arranged and clean, cool metro-style bathrooms, lavender aroma and pretty good complimentary coffee. very good location, just next to Highline, quiet during the night, comfortable mattress and good size bed (King) in our first room. Nice view from our second room onto a quiet Chelsea street and the top of Empire state bldg. They have quite a nice roof top. It is ny so the rooms are smaaaaa.
all reviews » The staff, location and excellent value. The rooms are small but very nicely equipped. 22nd street is more quiet than most, so the street noise was very low for NY. Neighborhood is full of restaurants and shops, subway is a short block away, and there is a Citibike stand right outside the front door. The staff. Utterly friendly and goes beyond their means to help you. (Even the little things like pronunciation of your Lithuanian surname). Perfect location - makes it easy for you to get to Theatre and Flatiron districts, while being just a walk away from Greenwich village and Meatpacking district. Perfect location in a hip district, near to public transport. Free wifi everywhere, terrace on top floor with brilliant NY view, gym in the cellar. Rooms are small but in NY that is standard. Good bed, clean bathroom and nice service. Big pro is the deli & restaurant Foragers on the ground floor!. Great location. Just next door is a organic store with a good restaurant. They change the internet wi fii pass every week on Monday. Complementary water every day, small gym, computers and ice machine in the basement. In the looby you have a recommended bar, restaurant, café. The location was ideal for our visit. We were 4 blocks from our destination and 3 blocks from our favorite store (Eataly). Parking was good, only a block away and $35 for a full day in NYC was wonderful. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Generally, I liked d nearness of the hotel to the shops and some entertaining sites in New York City. The staff were really nice. Clean. a lot of the rooms have windows onto a very narrow gap between the wings of the building. if you care about the view make sure u ask for a room with a street view. Bed in the second room (Double with a street view) was a bit short. Might be a problem for taller guys, I was fine (1,72m). If you like a large room and/or a large closet, this isn't the place for you. Some rooms have windows from the street side, which can get a little noisy. Then again - it's New York. Noisy and to cold airco in the hallway. The room was veeeeryy small, so if you have a lots of baggage you won't have space to put them. Some rooms have a window on the inner yard so it is dark and you cannot see outside properly. The view from our room was a brick wall. Not a big deal, though. The rooms are small--but that's completely to be expected for the price and the location. Small but well-laid-out, I should add. The price was not what I was originally given. It ended up costing $100 more (this was not due to taxes which were in the original price). I believe this was an issue with the booking service online but was a bit of an issue as far as determining whether we would stay there again. Keep in mind a few rooms are facing a fairly busy avenue, ask to be on the other side if traffic noise is an issue to you. Cleaning could improve. Our safe deposit box broke during our stay and was not mended. It needed a bar- communal space. Room was very, very small at only about 10' x 10'. Nowhere to sit other than on the bed or on a very small stool. - the proximity of windows between rooms for interior rooms. Room a bit too small, but still ok. Heating instead of the existing ac would be better (and quieter). But it´s still a very good choice in nyc. My room (513) had a lot of scuff marks on the wall directly visible to my line of vision when sitting or lying in bed. Also, the bathroom door had some kind of stain on it that spilled down to the floor. Rooms a bit small. The size of the room and surprisingly small bed. "Queen room" does not accurately describe either of these. With more than 1 person you will be bumping into each other. no fridge in room. Small room. Fire alarm testing two nights in a row at terrible times. Once was at 3:30 AM and the other around 6AM. Lack of smiles at front desk. The room was small. There was no breakfast. The plastic cups in room cut your lips...:(. To expensive for what the hotel is. Way too small for the price. I generally stay at four and five star hotels and this place may be clean, but a box spring and mattress on the floor, really?? Luckily I am agile and not in my 70's because this would have been difficult to get in and out of bed. I did appreciate the coffee and the water. Nothing!. Not professional staff on reception.... Small room Expensive.
