This was a simple hotel but given that it's more or less the cheapest you can expect to pay for something decent in Manhattan, it's great value for money. And staff are nice, rooms are perfectly fine for a short stay, the internet connection was really good, and the East Village location was great for what we wanted. Area was rad. We liked the buzz and the energy. The place was well connected to the trains ... Little fridge in the room was good. Things felt pretty clean. Front desk folks were all super nice. Time Out NY mags abound.
all reviews » The bed was great. The breakfast was really good too as was the self service aspects of the kitchenette. Location was fantastic as we have family in the Lower East Side. Next door to a great bar. Night Porter. The staff was really friendly. The hotel was located in a great neighborhood and the public transport was very near. The room was comfortable and the bed was nice to sleep in :). The staff was super friendly and helpful, the location amazing! breakfast was sufficient and the room was nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I love the location, and the staff was so wonderful. The hotel is clean and offers a free breakfast which helps save money in such an expensive city. The breakfast room was extremely small and the breakfast itself wasn't spectacular. the room was a bit small but OK. Rooms are small but there is so much to do around there that you should not spend much waking time in the room anyway. It was a little run down. Updated poorly and needs to be remodeled. But fairly clean. high price small room/inn not too clean room. WiFi completely unreliable. Breakfast room tiny, with little choice and things running out quickly. A bit noisy on Fri/Sat night (at the 6th floor). Breakfast room ,bit of a disaster,mostly overcrowded,often nowhere to sit. Often staff at reception,though friendly not very knowledgeable about the area.. The breakfast was ok but not great. The room - when you have two double beds was very small. Breakfast quality and a bit too expensive. Room with two double beds is quite small (even no space to place big baggage) especially if there are 4 people living in it. Breakfast is very poor and if they come at 9.00 A.M. there is nothing to eat. Staff was not friendly at all while serving additional food (4 pieces of bread for 8 people in the breakfast room, frosen scrubble and sausages). In the evening the location of the hotel seems to be dangerous (lots of night bars and suspect guys walking around). Rooms v poor size for 4 people, couldn't even walk around the beds as too smaller room. Breakfast was appalling! A room with not even enough chairs for everyone to sit down and regularly ran out of food or drinks having to locate staff to fill buffet up. Location not great for leisure trips either. Breakfast room in the basement is far too small we had to stand to eat our breakfast Rooms are very small We had a room overlooking the street on the second floor which was so noisy we hardly had any sleep as the hotel is right next to several bars I would certainly not recommend this hotel to any one else.
