I liked that it was in a quiet street but only a five minute walk from the hub of activity. I absolutely loved the Ruby Slipper right next door for breakfast every morning, why go anywhere else!! This place rocks!! The hotel has a general laid back feeling and Thomas at reception was a most helpful and genuine guy. A gold star for him! Or perhaps a payrise, he deserves it! I've stayed all over in my time, I ain't too fussy, I loved this place, I'd stay again.good luck!.

Can jump on any streetcar to take you around town; walking distance to French Quarter; Warehouse District and the Riverfront. Troy was extremely attentive and helpful with tour bookings. The old world charm of the hotel was lovely and close proximity to main attractions a bonus which was why we chose the Pelham, and we were delightfully impressed as it is always hard to gauge accommodation via Internet bookings. We chose due to affordable rates and walking destination for our cruise ship departure. We would recommend and return. Thank you. I gotta say we loved everything about the Pelham! The location was 2 blocks away from the quarter and the service was great! Shout out to the whole staff especially Troy and Thomas! The room was great and best believe when we get down there again The Pelham will be our hotel! Thanks to Troy for setting us up with citywide tour our guide Henry rocked! And Troy also for hooking us up with Mr. Ray our cabbie. I love the style of the hotel, it have the real feel of the French New Orleans, the decorations, the shape of the building, even thought some of the rooms don't have windows or some are small, but that's how things were back then, this is an antique building, and for the price you can't beat it. The people at the front desk were very helpful. It was also very clean which is a luxury in New Orleans!. I loved everything about the Pelham Hotel it was Very Clean, Troy Customer Service Skills were Excellent we told him we never been here before and he told us where to go where to eat etc,MY HOTEL ROOM NEVER RAN OUT OF HOT WATER like the Reviews say I had no signs of the Hotel being Haunted like people on the Reviews said infact when I come back to New Orleans I will stay here again. Older hotel but restored and decorated very nicely. Loved the heavy wood doors, high ceilings, extensive molding along the walls and door frames. Troy (front desk) was very helpful and a delight. Hotel is located close to the streetcars and two wonderful eating establishments, Mothers (local) and The Ruby Slipper (local). We hope to be back soon. Troy at the front desk was very helpful. Everything was very clean and exactly as advertised...we appreciated the fact that there were no surprises. The 19 foot ceilings and comfy bed was awesome. The hotel is just off the party streets so the hotel was quiet but within a 5 minute walk you are right in the middle of the action. Great place!. It was totally beautiful and very comfortable. I loved the wood floors and rooms were just gorgeous.. The price was great and the staff was so fiendly and was able to tell us where we could visit.. Plus I loved having the restaurant on the premise also.. Loved to location close to Bubba Gumps and the shrimp was awesome.. I will be back. 15 Foot cielings in every room with majestic floor to cieling drapery. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Definitely a great "bang for the buck" hotel. Very convenient to the french quarter and all attractions. Would certainly stay here again. Did not at all feel unsafe in an area that generally could be thought of as unsafe. The hotel was beautiful with lots of original architecture & charm. It is as old building & you can see that a little but overall great place to stay. The desk staff were incredible, very knowledgable about the area and extremely helpful. James works the night shift & was awesome, from our home town!!. Brandon at the front desk was very helpful. Helped us figure out the parking situation and accommodations upon check-in. He also recommended for my friend and I to go to the port of call, which was a locals spot, for a chill spot to grab a drink and a burger. We had an awesome time because of his recommendation. Shaun, Thomas were so much fun and gave us great ideas of what to see and do. We booked all our sightseeing through Shaun. It was super quiet, close to everything. The Pink Slipper next door had amazing food. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed staying at the Pelham. We are booking it for next year. The hotel and the room was very clean, comfortable beds, decorated nicely, and updated. The front desk staff and valet gentlemen were exceptionally friendly, curteous and attentive. In the morning, one of the front desk attendant's were recommending to everyone, where to eat and directions. I liked the King size bed, it was very comfortable, loved the shower, had excellent pressure. The room was very clean and had a nice décor to it, matching much of the entire hotel. Also, the staff was nice enough to check me in early since I arrived 2 hours earlier than expected, very nice. Brandon at the front desk was always amazing!!! You could ask him a million questions and he always answered very professional and with a big smile!! He is definately an asset to this company and a big reason why I will stay here again! Thanks Brandon for making our stay a great one! :-). Quiet, comfortable, clean, hotel that is within walking distance to everything in the French Quarter and Casinos. Within a 15 minute walk to the wwii museum. Hotel staff is very friendly and goes out the way to make the stay enjoyable. Hotel is off the beaten path and very little noise. I like the hotel and the Staff attention, but my room was in the first floor and near to employed or exit door... all night there was a lot of noise... I recommend but no for stay in first floor... they have to close that door near to the guess room or close this rooms... Was very clean beautiful rooms. The staff was very friendly and new a lot about the area and the business in the area. The price on the room was very cheap. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to New Orleans. This is not a luxurious hotel, but it is nice and it is located close to the Casino, Convention Center and the French Quarter. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. This is a good, convenient hotel; The staff is nice and helpful. I like the restaurant located right there by the hotel; There should be something for the guest at the restaurant though. 10% off or something saying these guest are special!!! Great Hotel. Halloween was a great time altogether in good ol New Orleans. Our room was small but cozy. And the restaurant down stairs is equally awesome. Only a block away from the casino and 4 blocks from bourbon. South of Canal St so the chances of getting mugged are at a minimum. Also their was quite a strong smell in the room? A masonary smell maybe? I work on construction sites and recognized it but it may be due to the flooding y'all had, like I said I ain't too fussy, you get used to it!!. I would like to see some upgrades like new flat screen TVs mounted on the wall instead of the small enclosure that looks like a closet, which at the same time can be use to put a small refrigerator and a coffee makers. And It would be nice if there was more water pressure on the showers!. I enjoyed everything at this Hotel except on my Last Day My friend somehow made the Toliet overflow and everyone on duty acted like they were scared to come look the front desk sent a lady with a plunger and towels like what part of overflowing didnt u get??? I feel as tho if Troy was working there def would have been a better outcome. NOTHING!!!!. Parking valet is very expensive but with no other options you really have to. The beds were very uncomfortable, we stayed only three nights so it was bearable. We couldn't stay longer. The bathroom in the lobby needed attending to. I liked everything!!!!. It is easy to get to once you know how to get there, but hard to find the first time. Parking is valet parking off site so you just can't walk out to car and go somewhere. Didn't like having to spend a extra 90 dollars on parking for valley but it was worth it. Least the car was taken car of and the hotel had someone on duty 24/7. My room did not have a coffee maker, microwave or a small refrigerator. I found 1 bug in my room. This makes me wonder if there were any more. In regards to parking, the staff should know everything regarding city parking as well; Its free to park on holidays; I was told otherwise by the staff. Room 411 needed some tlc; broken glass under television, broken security latch on door and curtain in shower needed too be replaced. We both hated the way the beds were made up; we ended up tangled in the top sheet every night. Could also use a little better access to electrical plugs for phone and computer charging. It took a while to get checked in, but that was just because we arrived right at 3:00 (when check-in starts) and there were other guests arriving as well... parking was expensive (but that's true for all of the French Quarter). Building is old and has not been kept up to high standard. Not insulated well from exterior street noise and activities. No windows in room. Morning/day receptionist not very charming/outgoing. Room on ground floor next to elevator. The T.v was at an odd angle in the room, but the way the room was built, there really wasn't any other place for it to be placed. My sister also could not get the Internet to work, but since it was not a major deal, we did not ask anyone for help with the problem. Street noise, but that's to be expected anytime you stay in the city. Can't think of a thing. Nothing good hotel. The rooms were small but who goes to New Orleans to stay in the room. Our initial windowless room. Everything else was fine. The rooms were a little too dark. the bathrooms near the red slipper rest..are discusting..and need to be remodeled...and they need a central area near the lobby to sit when your waiting for transporation with a t.v. to keep one preoccupied...other then great place..one more thing pillows are not soft to hard..other then that everything was ok. Not the biggest of rooms. 2 double beds were a pretty tight fit and there was a cupboard in the room which there was no way to open. No complimentary breakfast.
