I really liked how beautiful it was inside. The decorations were so neat and ornate. Good location I took the street car all over the food nearby was all great too. Over all I really loved it when I come back to see my husband I will book here again. Liked the proximity to the convention center at half the cost of big hotels, I was in the nice room above the office, the one with the brick cheminey and vhigh ceilings, I would make sure I would have this room, it also had a balcony.

I was only going to stay one night, and quickly decided to book a second. Easy to get to town on the St. Charles street car (literally, right at the corner). The staff was friendly and helpful; the room was very small but the bed was comfortable; the cost was below other similar hotels in New Orleans. The hotel did have a New Orleans feel to it which was very nice but more than a few things could be upgraded and still keep with tradition. The location. No parking specifically for the hotel, the carpet are a little dated and dingy in our room may need to update them. The first night it was pretty cold and I did not had any heater in the room but was solved rapidly the next morning, but make sure you hav one when you arrive if you are in the winter! The room is facing to the St Charles blvd so a little noisy but not so bad. Wish I had known about you last time I was in town!. When we arrived, there was an incredibly strong "air freshener" type smell int he hallway that actually made it hard for us to even breathe; the morning continental breakfast should be set up somewhere else as that little hall corener was way too crowded. The location could have been better. I really don't like the one way streets and parking was a hassle. Street parking. The WiFi didn't reach my room. Moldy scent in spots. Because it's an old building the walls are very thin so you can hear everything (including the man in the room next to mine coughing and clearing his throat). People were trying to break into the gate in between the two buildings at 2am also. The Inn is in bad need of cosmetic repair, there was a section of crown molding missing, dangerous broken tile in bathroom and a terrible musty smell that has penetrated into the fabrics of the linen. For what appears to be a few thousand bucks and some new paint the place could be dazzling again. Breakfast consisted of prepackaged food. I wouldn't call this a Bed AND Breakfast. More like a bed. Hotel and rooms were in need of some maintenance. Breakfast wasn't very good. As a tourist its difficult to stay at this hotel. Parking is awful! Then you have to figure out how to navigate around the city. The staff only tell you about the street cars. We drove everywhere instead of getting into the city and seeing it for what it was. The rooms are small! The beds are fulls! I wouldnt stay here again. The hotel is a bed n breakfast - not a hotel,room was dirty,water pressure from shower was very low like sprinkling, the room had no telephone,the hotel had no drink machine,no water machine,no vending,no central sit-up a huge wall unit sitting in the middle of our room that cannot be moved,the bed was uncomfortable - for the price you pay its a ripoff - should be &65 a night not $100 totally not worth it-and staff is unfriendly.
