We just returned from Naples fl after a two week stay at the Ramada Inn of Naples at 1100 Tamiami Trail North (Route 41). We are seniors and have had our most enjoyable stay at a hotel that is 5+ minutes from a lovely public beach, 10+ minutes from the chic downtown area and right smack in the middle of countless malls, shopping centers and wonderful restaurants to experience. The hotel has lovely grounds, the largest pool for a hotel of it's size, clean rooms, free breakfast every morning, cof.
all reviews » Good location, we actually were able to walk to the beach, pool at the hotel was very nice also. Breakfast was fantastic! The quality was great and delicious and lots of it. We actually would have the wonderful large breakfast in the morning and then didn't have to eat again until evening...saving us money. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Close to places tourist would like to visit. Recent improvements made to premises since last year. Good attentive administrative & services personnel. Location at 2 min. Drive to Lowdermilk Beach Park, shopping mall and convenience stores. Great pool as advertised but what the its best attraction is the well kept garden. All in all, good value for money. GREAT hotel for the price. Everything is within 1-2 miles of what we needed. Naples Pier, Lowdermilk beach, shopping, banking everyting ! Great free bfast with plenty of room. A nicer upscale sandwich/salad establishment would probably be more suited for hotel guests. Breakfast very basic, no bacon. This is Naples as a town I do not recommend, not the Hotel. Town is too full of itself (and I know the real Mediterranee riviera...so...). Can't think of anything. Since breakfast was included in the price, the breakfast area was crowded. The hotel needs either to have more staff on duty at breakfast or to redesign the lay-out of the buffet so that, for instance, lots of people are not crowding round one toaster or milk dispenser. Tiny bathroom and noisy air con. Swimming pool had leaves and bugs floating on the surface so didn't want to use it although a couple of people were in the pool. dated bathroom. All good!. Had 2 nights with just warm water to shower with. nothing. Wireless internet was very slow. Not a big deal for me. A lift would have been helpful for luggage. We were excited to go to the steak house. Food was very average and my sons steak came nearly rare versus the med he ordered. Shrimp also not great. Diappointment here. Everything was perfect. No elevator ! It sucked lugging suit cases up the stairs ! Be sure and get 1st floor !!!!!!. rooms could be updated. The TV picture was rather dark and there was not any TV guide available. 1 Sticky breakfast floor every day 2 Drawer face damaged 3 Sink picture damaged at faucet 4 Rubber on stairway ugly 5 Outside white railing could be cleaner. Rooms are tired but adequate and a tiny bit dark. There is a musty smell. I would have liked additional food and beverage options. A Starbuck's would have been great, as well. It would be wonderful if they would replace the plastic breakfast cutlery with real knives, spoons, forks. Plus add yogurt, fruit, sliced meats/cheeses to breakfast buffet. Would be nice to have studio rooms available so simple meals could cooked. nothing. None. carpet in room, laminate would be great change. On a very busy main road,well out from centre. You have to use the car to go to Downtown, to the Pier and to the beaches. Little bit outdated but OK for the price.
