Super comfortable beds and groovy rooms - it is an amazing historic building but totally modernised to a very high standard. Loved my stay here, especially the bed and nice toiletries. The restaurant is also great. Super location, just a block from main shopping area. The building is historic and beautiful. Rooms very comfortable and pretty. Staff is fantastic. Good restaurant on the premises. Nice morning coffee in the lobby. Great bar. Observatory at the top of the hotel to see vistas of Minneapolis.
all reviews » I liked the accomodations, appointed rooms, inhouse lounges and their uniqueness. I appreciated the cleanliness and proximity to downtown activities. It was my bday & received complimentary cupcakes & a note. Nice little surprise. The atmosphere , the room , the historic value , the friendly & well attentive staff/valet/doormen , the location & convenience of everything & just the feeling of being welcomed guest at a beautiful hotel :). The decor was terrific and was what we were hoping for. Very rare that the web sites pictures match the feeling of the room, but the W. accomplished that. Outstanding staff and very first class accommodations. Had a great experience at the W on our wedding night. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean, very comfortable, and with a great view. Highly recommended. property is gorgeous -- especially the public areas. all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. bed was comfy and everything was clean and well maintained. The room and bathroom were comfy and spacious. The towels were plush and plentiful. Location was good.Manny's restaurant located next to the lobby was real good. The view was nice, bed was comfortable, shower good. The decor was very nice, very modern. It did, however, look as if it is more for business than leisure. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was gorgeous. We loved the huge shower with the rainfall shower head and the pink light. Very hip vibe, with friendly staff. I wish we had another night to hang out in the lobby bar, but otherwise a very cool place. The clean design of the room and the very cool views out of the windows. Bathroom was luxurious. Lobby had striking style. Over all the experience was fantastic....we enjoyed the late night atmosphere and didn't need to leave the hotel. The bed was super comfortable. (corner suite) a coffee maker in the room would be appreciated. The chairs were not comfortable. One was a business/desk chair and the other was a modern disk- shaped chair that was not comfortable. The bathroom faucet did not give hot water (I think the heat adjustment dial was missing). I had to shave in tepid water. Bathroom sink is too flat, water does not run into the drain. The only complaint we have is that one of our bath towels was showing its age(torn edges and a little worn) hardly worth mentioning, but my wife is in the business and pointed it out. No coffee maker in room. We felt like we had to be careful what we opened in room. Everything had a price tag on it...even the water. Could have had a better grade of toilet paper. Kind of missed having a bathtub. Not much view on the third floor. There is one issue,actually maybe it is noting to do with the service of hotel, coz one of my collegue found the her credit card was double charged... Please coordinate with the hotel, to guarantee the international travelers are protected if we book the hotel from website of booking... Room smelled like smoke and they still had machines in the room to make it smell better. The pillow I had smelled like someone was literally smoking into the pillow. The key thing in the elevator was hard to do. Noise. Difficult to find parking for the hotel. Would be nice if they had directions for that on their website. The rainfall shower head was cool but had terrible water pressure. Shower only had one head Expected more for the corner king No jacuzzi. Well, although we thought the scenery of pink lights and other unique settings would be cool, we were found to be quite annoyed by the lighting and saw it to be unappealing and hurtful to the eyes. The shower temperature was irregular and pressure was a dribble. A lamp was broke and would not turn off and the curtain pull was broke off. A small bottle of Fuji water is $5. Lobby is depressing very, very dark. Nothing. Observation deck not open after 5 pm. Lobby and bar decoration tacky Waitresses "Uniformes" again on the tacky side. it was expensive. The price of beverages, refreshments, and local phone calls was unacceptable. Entirely too highly overpriced!. Valet Parking is expensive Wifi in room should be included in the room rate. Down filled comforter and pillows. Not good for allergy sufferers. High Fees for everything from Wifi, to $30 for parking, to having to ask for a coffee maker in the room. Nothing. No staff or bell boys to grab bags at door. No free wifi. Food in the room was expired. Sound system in the room was broken. Not much to do in the hotel. Took a bit long to check in. No warm water at the bathroom sink. Didn't like that had to wash face in cold water. Shower had no water pressure.
