The room itself was just great! Everything was super clean. Even though we stayed in a smoking room the smell was faint and it wasn't bothersome. The room was bigger than what I was expecting which was a plus. Also there was a mini fridge and stove top which I wasn't counting on. Great experience. I wish all of the Best Western Inns were as clean and up kept as this one. I enjoyed the friendliness of each person that I came into contact with that worked there! The free breakfast far surpassed and free hotel breakfast that I've had anywhere else. Great location and reasonable rates. Will recommend to others and will stay there again when I'm back in the area!!.
all reviews » The location was perfect for the Grand Prix of Long Beach. The room was large & quiet with a very comfortable bed & sofa.The complementary Breakfast Buffett was absolutely delicious. The Balcony was a cozy spot to watch the sunset with wine from the fridge---Thanks--Jayson. When our flight changed we were able to return and re check in no problem. The rooms are big. As are the beds. The shower is pretty good too. The restaurant isn't expensive and is handy if you don't want to go out although their are several places nearby for shopping and eating. Good location near a wealthy neighbourhood allowed us to go for a lovely walk after breakfast, along marinas, canals and leafy streets. We felt very relaxed and safe while strolling. The verandah overlooked the pool and garden which was great and the room was bright and clean. The reason I have stayed at this hotel several times, is its location, very central for the beach areas , Resturants, and shopping. The breakfast ,is excellent, and staff more than helpfull. Having free parking, a nice pool and jacuzi , is icing on the cake .Superb value . I loved the complimentary breakfast which was completely loaded with a ton of great hot food. I thought the microwave and fridge was a huge bonus since I like stocking up on small essentials to save money during my stay for lunch and snacks. Your staff is great. Every encounter was positive, and that is a huge factor in choosing a place to stay. Rooms are a tad bit dated, but kept spotless. Fitted sheets would be nice on the bed, which was still ,very comfortable. comfortable bed and room. Close to shops. Restaurant was fantastic. So quiet it was perfect. Definitely value for money. The hotel was right next door to the restaurant where our event was being held. The room had a mini kitchen and was a good size. The breakfast buffet was good. Staff was very helpful, room was very nice and clean for an older motel, the breakfast buffet was really good with lots of choices, we would stay there again. A good value and close to Long Beach without being smothered in city density. Very courteous staff and thanks for the great breakfast. The lack of a microwave oven to keep my morning coffee warm. It could be a bit noisy early morning. Maybe the breakfast could vary instead of the same each day although a good selection. The rooms I feel are in need of updating, as this hotel is usually fully booked and well used, signs of which are apparent, but dont be put off !!! ,. i think the kitchen for room service should be open later in the evening. The cleaning staff never knocked before entering. everything was great. Can't complain about anything. The room was pretty old and needed updating. bed was a littler firmer that we are used to. Due to being mostly fully booked and its age, its a little tired. WiFi signal low in room so couldn't connect unless in lobby. There was no air circulation in the hallways as you waited for the elevator it got very warm and sticky. The elevator was very slow and could stand an upgrade. Restaurant for lunch: very few choice, no alcohol (no wine!). Situation is wrong side of PCH, for nearby shops and restaurants one has to cross this highway. No wifi in the rooms, and for the amount you pay to stay here we expected the wifi to be good. The front desk staff needs much further training. We were charged double for our room. Luckily, I caught the error. Our room was VERY dated, shabby, and in poor repair, particularly the bathroom and front door lock pulled out of molding. On second day, our key cards didn't work; they thought we'd checked out. ????. bathroom showers, specifically the shower heads; they need to be replaced, or cleaned and remounted; shower curtains too long; plumbing in general showing it's age, old faucets, etc. Bed was hard and did not sleep well...aggravated back pain. Dark hallways. A little worn-down. could be more modern in the rooms. PCH club next door has entertainment facilities - after dinner we could not use as crowded with non-residents. Woken up by noise in the car park (after midnight) as they left. The hotel was old and felt creepy. I missed the Marriott (where I usually stay) immediately upon driving onto the Best Western property. I will never stay here again. 1. Shuttle to/from the airport was advertised, but wasn't available. The front desk even said they'd pay for the cab to the airport if they couldn't get a shuttle for me. I reserved a shuttle the night before, and after 3 requests from the front desk and a 30 minute wait (and still no shuttle), the front desk called a cab and I had to pay for the ride to the airport. 2. location is not walking distance to any attractions 3. Hallways were musty and carpet sticky. Maid did not clean room on our second day, Said we left do not disturb sign which we both knew was not true. Mgmt would not even consider a small discount for our inconvience. When I asked for receipt with companyname, they first said they couldnt do that because it was booked threw internet, when I told them I paid them and not letsbookhotel.com they agreed, next morning when I checked out we got the same discussion again. Was a bit stupid. We were in room 445 which was beside an outside door which was noisy. The bed/mattress creaked each time I sat on it or when I turned over in bed I am 16 stone. Anything wasn't wrong. Nothing more. Rooms a bit dated Road noise. Service desk was very rude. Not one person at desk but all of them.
