  The location is excellent - right near the subway station, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the beds are comfortable (as in all Courtyard hotels), the room was clean, the hotel has guest laundry facility (this is important to me), the lobby is very pleasent - I would without hesitation recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City... what people say » .   The staff were just excellent. Requests were responded to immediately, and the bellmen were wonderful. On several occasions they and the concierge gave us great advice about transportation, places to eat, and things to do, and they always were smiling and friendly. The room was very quiet. The staff were very good also. We upgraded to the Sheraton Club on the 21st floor which was nice, it had a great view of the City and Hudson River. It is not a luxury hotel but is very comfortable and affordable.

  I am a designer and i loved the whole design of this hotel, everything was exceptional in its design and finish, far beyond the likes of any other hotel. I liked the pictures on the net before I booked but you most definitely have to see this place to believe it, especially the swimming pool, nestled between two asymmetric stainless steel towered... what people say » walls that look like there are from another dement ion , the whole pool area is stunning but the jewel in the crown of this hotel is the AMAZING poli - The staff are fabulous, very friendly, professional, cannot do more to help. The pool is great - at times (weekend afternoons when the sun is out) it is quite a "scene" which might annoy someone looking to relax but it is what it is (and at other times it is very relaxing). The restaurants are very good and the rooftop bar/club PHD is great on a Saturday (although be aware that it is run separately from the hotel so after 11 or so, being a hotel guest does not guarantee access). The live band downstairs was great (besides the fact that we could hear it in our room the first night).

  I liked how the staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests even though they did not have to. The room we stayed in 814 had an amazing view of midtown manhattan and was very quiet. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and clean. There is a subway station right next door to the hotel which gives you easy access to all of NYC. I had Room 301, the biggest one on the floor. Very comfortable bed, enough space for your stuff and very clean. I have been many times in NYC and the Lower East Side has become a hot spot, therefore the location of the Hotel is also good. Subway is only 2 blocks away. Very friendly staff and the restaurant in the basement is serving an outstanding omelet :-)

  It was centrally located and the rooms were clean and nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Traveled w/ friends who check-in the day before and the hotel was able to get us rooms next to each other. We had double bed rooms and being a NYC hotel, the space was more than I expected, however, closet space was almost non-existent.... what people say » I would definitely stay there again and recommend it. - We really enjoyed staying at South Park Hotel, and would stay there again without hesitation. The room was very confortable and clean, the staff were helpful and polite. It is in a great location too, slightly away from the crazy tourist part of the city, but you could still walk to these if you wished - but within easy reach of some great bars and restaurants on Lexington and 3rd Ave etc.
