  Beautiful hotel in the best location. The rooms are very clean and the staff is amazing. The hotel is located by really nice cafes and great restaurants, although I would stay away from the Italian restaurant right next door. Bad service and not very good.   Out of context the rate seems a little bit expensive... But we compared with so many other hotels in the area, and I really think this was the best hotel for this price range! The location was amazing - north beach on one side and chinatown on the other; walking distance to fisherman's wharf... We used the parking garage and it was very safe & private, and I actually didn't mind paying for it because I woul - I did like they offered breakfast which other hotels in the area didn'T. Breakfast was simple: cereals, breads, juices, boiled eggs. The price was good compared to others in the area. I liked the location, I wouldn't normally stay in "china town" but I enjoyed the experience. One street over is North Beach, which isn't a "beach". More appropriate name should be "little italy"; very good italian restaurants. I would stay here again if the prices stayed the way they were.

  I had to step up the itinerary of my trip by two days. Although I didn't get the same room class/price, the day manager worked with me over the phone to get a room booked. When I arrived, the (same?) manager noted that we had one small child, and changed the room to accomodate, without changing the price.   Nice and sweet staffs. Clean and stylish hotel and close to fisherman wharf. It's awsome. I recommend San Remo Hotel strongly.   You can walk to the piers from this hotel, its .8 miles away so not bad at all.
