There were three men that really help my boyfriend and I. One is TJ, my boyfriend and I had problems with our vehicle he really helped us with that and followed all the way through with it until he knew that we were able to leave safely, he went above and beyond his job. The other two helped with the air conditioning system. Mike along with another young man. Exceptional staff; Every single person we interacted with was very pleasant, responsive and friendly. Fast WIFI and the view on the ocean side was fabulous. Lots of parking and very convenient to most of the OBX hotspots.
all reviews » We liked the close beach access. We liked the balcony with the ocean view. Staff was always pleasant & helpful, even when I was overcharged at the end. We like that it is family-friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I liked having a balcony. The restaurant was nice and the food was good. Staff was friendly. I will book again and request an ocean view. Our room was on the ocean and even though the weather and wind was bad we pulled back the curtains and enjoyed the sound of the waves and watched them from our chairs. The location is very good and the lobby was decorated nicely for the Holiday Season. However, the poinsettia's near the lobby elevator badly needed watering. Everything was very clean, the beds are very comfortable. The linen are not the typical you see in a hotel, they were very soft comforters and pillows. We stayed in room 526 which had a great view of the ocean. We were able to view a beautiful sunrise each morning without even getting out of our bed. I liked the friendly staff. We were there for the OBX race and they were very accommodating with check out. Definitely would stay there again. I liked the beach and ocean veiw. The staff were great. The beach wasgood. The food was delicious. Acomodations were as expected. When we finally got the room we thought we paid for, it was very nice. The bed was comfy and the hot tub felt good. We didn't like that you had to walk through the indoor pool area to get out to the beach. Wet fall hazard waiting to happen. We couldn't rent an umbrella for our 11 month old baby because they were always sold out. construction was taking place but we know that being the time of year it and they are trying to update before their best season customers. Even the workers spoke as we walked past. The desk receptionist practically ignored us when we came into the lobby to check in. I'm not sure what she was doing but she could have at least acknowledged us. Everything was fine! I have no complaints. We cannot complain. Room service was a bit pricey even for room service and we could hear the neighbors better then I would like. I came at the wrong time of the year. To many family and children. In the queen bed room the beds were very stiff and some of our lights didn't work. Had to go up to the 2nd floor and go thru the pool room to get outside to get to the beach Pets should be put in a kennel or have a babysitter! Someone's dogs barked ALL NIGHT long! Very annoying!. There had been tons of remodling going on since October and the lobby was a mess. Elevator was not working when we first got there and had to climb stairs to 5th floor! Should have been on the website that they were remodling but it was not. It was a little pricey for the service and amenities but all in all it was a nice stay. The cold weather lol.Needs more rooms w jacuzzi tubs. One of the two beds really needed to be replaced. It was concave and squeeked loudly when you moved. it would have been more convenient to be able to checkin eqarlier as I had a long drive after a long flight. Nothing. bed bugs in the bed. under construction. No breakfast bar. not anything I could put a finger on- rooms are somewhat outdated- beds not best for me. I booked ocean front and when I got there they said I did not. Had. Email to show and they said nothing they could do. The room I booked I did not get but it was okay. The hotel is older. The carpet in our room was a bit old, and the shower curtain had moldy spots. Your typical chain hotel. I expected more by the reviews. Beds not comfortable!. 4 night stay for $1000 and a view of the street. The room was average, nothing special. They did not charge me the booking .com rate. I had to renegotiate my online booking rate at check out. price, darkness. Toilet not mounted to floor Workout area was a joke Too expensive Oceanside was a view of a green hill. expensive for no ocean view. Under construction(a lot), and we were not informed. Like a butlins style holiday site.
