Get a room with a view of the falls. On an upper floor. Beautiful view of temple, falls and mountains. It may cost more but is worth it. Actually, I found the price an average one. The room was clean and big. Mattress looked brand new and was comfortable to sleep on. There is a balcony also. Comes with a decent breakfast the next day. Great staff, great room with plenty of space, great record, view was spectacular, just a great value for money stay, which we could have stayed longer. There was even a night light in the bathroom for our convenience, just so thoughtful, would recommend this lovely hotel to anyone and everyone.
all reviews » This hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Idaho Falls. It's close to "old" downtown and of all the hotels in this area I prefer this one. I understand it changed hands in the past year and there have been many improvements. Our room had a great view of the river and the Falls. We ate at a Pub that was in walking distance. I had always wanted to stay on the Falls, this was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a view of the falls and the temple that was incredible. The room was huge. We had a two year old and an infant with us and we all fit very comfortably even with the crib set up. The location was beautiful with the river walk. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel was centrally located. The front desk personnel were very helpful. the hotel was located across from the park which was great for the grandchildren. Our heater was extra warm, but the staff was excellent. Room design an location. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The balconey was great. staff was friendly and efficient --manager went out of her way to make our stay lovely. Proximity to Idaho Falls and downtown is great. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The employees were very helpful. And pleasant.the breakfast was good. The total renovation was awesome!! Very very nice and spacious room. They were out of a lot when we got there, about 9:30. We went to a restaurant down the street. It would be nice to have ice machines on each floor. need to upgrade the tv's to flat screen's with HDMI outputs. A couple chairs on the baloney would be nice. The pool was out of service. The parking seems a bit lonely behind the two-story building. needs updating bad.the carpet had a bad smell. Paint coming off the outside of the building. Just looks bad. Over priced for the room. The breakfast was pretty lame. Old food, and needs more small table instead of only a few large ones. No pay per view TV. Continental breakfast was lacking. Somewhat dated on the outside. Door lock would stick. Internet reception marginal. Old carpet. Poor drainage in tub. restaurant is sketchy, no customers at all, at a time when the dinner rush should have been happening. Bed was not very comfortable. The breakfast. Missing cutlery, plates, etc. bed was a bit too hard. bathroom sinks were plugged and didn't drain well. The breakfast was lousy. no comment. parking was wierd. Restaurant. Breakfast was nothing special. The "tower" was sold out and we ended up in the dumpier older section. Very outdated and worn, but they were kind enough to give us a discount that made it a decent value. I made a reservation for a room with two queen beds OVERLOOKING THE FALLS and it was on the opposite side of the falls....i was disappointed. Very noisy. Kept hearing people in the hallways. Disappointed in the hotel. Was expecting it to be the red lion caliber and it was not The breakfast needed improvement to. It was a little dirty and there used to be an air conditioner in which they removed. Weird. Our prime rib dinner was brought to us in plastic Styrofoam containers and a plastic grocery bag. There were no hand towels. The tv was ancient and very small, when I booked the hotel online I assumed we were in the tower but found out we were in the annex. Probably won't stay there again. The pool wasn't filled. No ice in the ice maker. When I arrived at the hotel they said they couldn't find my reservation in the system. They double charged me and the manager would not talk to me. Cheap, uncomfortable linens and bedding. Dated, worn decor. Would have preferred controlled/gated parking lot. Hotel could not find my letsbookhotel.com booking - luckily they had a room available because other options were not offered. Raised prices, took away decent breakfast, staff refused to ask neighbors to turn down extra loud tv, and restaurant staff poor service and rude. Very small tv. Bathtub small. Pool was closed. Air conditioning didn't work. Message light on phone continuously blinked even after calling front desk to report button didn't work. Very disappointed at a hotel I have stayed at in the past that was once first class. We were going to stay but checked out after first night. We went to the Hampton and paid $20 more for a hotel and room twice as good. I will never recommend and never stay again. Mexican celebration playing very loud music resulting having to change rooms at 1230 A.M. Pool was closed "for the season". This was not mentioned on the website. A "Poolside room", translates to an older room, adjacent to the tower that houses the rooms that are much nicer. needs updating. it was like staying at Motel 6. Dirty room. Broken a/c unit in room. Ice machine broken. Pool out of service due to "unforseen circumstances ". Shower still had hair in it from last guests. "Scenic view" was of air con roof units. At least someone had a/c... Avoid this place at all costs and go to the either the Hampton or Marriott across the street for 20 bucks more. Pool was not open,and seperate from the main hotel-outside appearance was old and run down looking-didn't know pool was inoperable until we tried to check in-then cancelled our reservation, they still charged our CC and we had to call back to recieve refund. Room had a 13 inch tube tv 20 feet away.Bathtub did not drain.Staff at front desk promised a better room twice but when we went too the front desk they were booked!. Computer was down at check in, took twenty minutes, key cards didn't work, had to climb two flights of stairs to get to room, pool was partially drained and gross, the room smelled bad and the toilet was plugged. Couldn't find an ice machine or pop machine on our floor. Had to drive to a convenience store. Lamp shade on lamp was rotted and hanging off. Had an old 19 inch tv.
