We spent 3 days, 2 nights at Lakedale Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We took the boat out several times on the lake, which was so romantic. We requested wood for a campfire which they handled beautifully and even set us up with a smore kit at the campfire! all reviews » We stayed at the resort during the first part of November, considered the 'off season'. It couldn't have been more perfect! The hotel and its surroundings provided a beautifully serene atmosphere. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and even helped us book an excursion. We kayaked on the lake and it was just the two of us. Would definitely recommend staying here!. I liked everything about this place. Very good place to stay for just relaxing and going on a canoe trip around the lake.I just wished that I would have brought my fly rod to fish. Maybe the general store should have a rod or two to rent out. I really did enjoy my stay though, and would recommend it to all of my friends. I would like to go back again. The resort overlooks a beautiful lake where we went rowing 2 days in a row. The rooms were clean and had all the ammenities. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful...and fun. The breakfasts were ample and delicious (Mary Ann makes a delicious omelet to order). Our favorite resort after being in Vancouver and Victoria. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. My girlfriend and I were interested in having a campfire one evening and the front desk employee (Kane) arranged for us to have two bundles of wood, a newspaper for kindling, and a lighter, and had it waiting for us at the fire pit site. Also, the bathrooms are pretty beautiful. We attend in a lovely log cabin, furnished w kitchenware, grill, fire pit, etc. the staff was friendly and helpful, the cabin was lean, comfortable beds, quiet and fun place. We used it as home base, going driving into Friday Harbor for lovely dinners, and exploring the island during the day. Cabin was so comfortable. Enjoyed making the muffins and waffles from the mix you provided. Used and enjoyed the activities offered. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of people were there and yet it seemed quiet and secluded. Easy drive to places we were going. Very comfortable beds. The rooms were clean and had a great view of the lake. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff were also very courteous. And, there is a lot to do on the property itself - walks, chess, bird watching, etc. When the season begins on May 1, there are even more activities available. The staff were very friendly and great. Mary-Lou in the kitchen makes a great omlette and is great for giving advice of what to do around the town while visiting. She definitely loves what she does. She made our stay a 10. :). Wonderful ambiance, friendly staff, good value, great amenities, unique setting and facilities. If I were to design a resort it would be just like this! I have already told several friends about the resort and will return!. The great room (lobby), gas fireplace in the room, personal attention from the staff, visiting with other guests, the quiet scenery from the veranda, the omelets and other options for breakfast. They advertise a small general store next to their main lodge with various common commodities, however, it really wasn't open and fully functional during our trip. Not a big deal, but that option would have been nicer for some easy common things than having to run into town. Nothing!. Would have liked better Internet access. The walls are a bit thin. We were lucky that the other guests were courteous about noise and that there were no young children at the resort when we were there. Had the other guests been less thoughtful, we would not have gotten much sleep. The hotel does have quiet hours, though the front desk closes in the evening, so I'm not sure how they're enforced. N/A. Not a complaint, but perhaps expanded food services, maybe a light lunch and barbecue menu?. I can't think of a thing we would change. I regret that we did to have more time at the resort. It was hard to leave. Queen-size bed. My husband is 6 foot, 4 inches, so we prefer king-size beds. Nothing our stay was Great!!!. Leaving. Absolutely nothing. $400 a night was a bit too high....maybe $300 would make more sense. Could have more parking. Nothing. None that I can think of. Walls to thin Heard next door neighbours talking in bed. If I stepped onto the balcony I could hear neighbours on either side if their doors were opened. A noise at 4 am woke both of us up and I think it had to do with the fireplace. It went on for about 5 minutes. I won't go back to this resort. we were in a cabin and a staff person assured us we could eat the lodge breakfast. we were embarrassed after going to eat there and being told we were not eligible. just let staff know all the rules. thanks...... loved everything else though. everything!!!!!!. Would like to have stayed longer.
