I liked the decor. It's impressive how good taste in paint and decor can turn a "box" into a comfortable, attractive place. The staff was very helpful and friendly- honest, good recommendations. Having bikes for guest use is a real plus. We had fun in the pool. The local lavender bath products were excellent. I spent a small fortune at the gift shop and really appreciated having them complimentary in the room. Thank you!.
all reviews » The staff was fantastic. Tory was especially helpful, from picking us up at the ferry, to restaurant suggestions, to giving us directions to a state park within biking distance manageble by 2 kids that had grills for a cookout. The spa for the adults was excellent and the kids loved the pool. Even though we stayed during high season, the rooms were very quiet inside. Definite thumbs up. Location right in Friday Harbor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, tastefully decorated, beds very comfortable. Earthbox is basically a very nicely renovated Motel. Hot tub was nice. Great location with friendly folks working there. Grounds are perfect for a family with kids. A lot quieter rooms than I was expecting. Overall great time. i loved the beds the decor of the room was extrmely nice it was close to shopping in the harbor the lavender products in the bathroom were wonderful. Pleasant, clean, comfortable and quiet. A lovely place to stay close enough to the harbor to walk but far enough away to avoid the noise and bustle. Very modern. Beds comfortable. Wonderful indoor pool, hot tub, spa, exercise equipment in a room with just the right temperature. I loved the landscaping with all the flowers. It's a beautiful and tranquil setting. The bed is comfortable. The trip was enjoyable and the weather was beautiful! Drove around the island - saw some beautiful scenery. Bathrobes and all the lavender products in the room. Earthbox wasn't cheap, but one of the least stupid expensive places, especially given it's right in the harbor. Rooms were nice, but small, as they state on the website. Ventilation in the room was difficult - very hot the entire time even with the room provided fan. the bathroom was too small i also thought the exterior of the buildings needed painting i felt for the cost of the room the whole facility should look attractive. A little pricey. The lighting in the bathroom is bad. The lighting above the vanity has a glare that makes it hard to see in the mirror. The TV needs to be replaced. no room service food or breakfast buffet hallway so loud since window is right by parking lot, can hear everyone talking outside so early i saw hot chocolate at front desk but would love some in the rooms as well!. No air conditioning in the upstairs rooms. Noise from surrounding rooms. The walls are paper thin. Had a problem with guests below my room. Management was very understainding and accomodating. There was no problem in moving to another room. Free bikes but not goog enough (no gears) to ride a long distance on the island. The flower pots hanging by the stairs. Could not go up stairs without hitting your head. Thin walls. We had to run the AC to create white noise to cover the sounds of people talking. Noisy stairs outside. Cost. Cost. they need a/c in all buildings. The mattress was alittle hard. Was woken up at 6:00 am by lawn mower and weed blower from next door. Very expensive. Poor lighting in the bathroom and vanity area. Coffee shop not open until well after most shops. Very small room, one waste basket, bathroom dark. room was extremely small had a full sized bed, way too small for the money. was upgraded to room with jacuzzi tub, and tryed to use it when the water reached the jets, scum came out of them.
