I loved the comfortable bed and the cleanliness of the room and overall cleanliness of the hotel. The staff, especially at the concierge desk, was very knowledgable and extremely friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and really convenient in the morning before going sightseeing. Had a great variety of food and drink. Overall, great place to stay when in Chicago. Location couldn't have been better.
all reviews » The room was spacious. The staff graciously moved us to another floor when ours became noisy because of high schoolers that were there for some music competition. The breakfast bar was wonderful. Lots of good food, hot and cold and plenty of seating.We also liked seeing the skyline from out 12th floor window. The room was fantastic, perfect to accomodate me and my family with ease. Modern and confortable furnishings. Even the firehouse in front of the hotel did not bother us at all. The breakfast was great and free, no long lines to get things and fresh fruit!! All the staff was extremely corteous and friendly!. Lovely, clean and spacious suite, definite value for money especially given the fantastic location! Staff were excellent and always so helpful whatever the request, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in downtown Chicago whether you're there for business or leisure. The rooms had a nice size, the beds were very comfortable and they even wash the duvet covers for each stay. Having breakfast included was a big plus too. We also needed a parking garage for our rental and their rates are very reasonable for Chicago. Free breakfast, comfortable, warm in cold weather, free wifi. Even gave us free take away breakfast on checkout to take to the airport. While we had jet lag the 24hour tea/coffee free was great. We were also aloud to check in hours earlier. Booked a suite. Excellent modern decor.Great in all respects. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Excellent value for money for such a superb downtown location close to shopping and Navy Pier. My husband was able to fix it each time. The only thing I would change is the floor around the pool, very slippery and unsafe. It's across the street from a fire-station and you hear the siren going off several times in the middle of the night. Nothing. The buffet dining room was a little cramped in the mornings with everyone, including big groups, trying to get in and have breakfast. Concierge service was only the staff at the desk. They weren't able to answer all our questions, but that was just a minor set back. The only downside is the proximity of the fire department, which makes you hear the sirens, but the hotel is aware of that and provides ear plugs free of charge for the guests, which is really thoughtful. Can't think of any negatives. Close to a fire station. There is nothing bad to say at all. There is a firestation next to the hotel, so there were some disturbing noice. But the hotel offered free earplugs, so you slept very good anyway. Be prepared that parking is terrible in Chicago and extremely expensive ($30 to $50 per night). It seems wrong that hotels do not provide parking for their customers. No one seems to in Chicago. If you don't have to go to Chicago--Don'T. El precio. Upon entering our room, the tile by the front door and in the bathroom appeared to be dirty. We did not report it or ask to change rooms, just dealt with it. no fruit at breakfast. There is a Fire Department just beside the hotel. Some nights fire alarms disturbed our rest. $42 for overnight parking is atrocious, but I guess that's the going rate for downtown . parking was WAY too expensive and inconvenient. Tepid water in shower, breakfast food not of very high quality. A but noisy for light sleepers though I'm not one. I didn't think we should have to pay for parking. I think $42 a night is WAY over priced. We stayed 2 nights, so that $84 just to have our car sit in a lot. Noise. Poorly insulated windows combined with a fire station on one corner and two night clubs to the other side of you, make for a very noisy night. It does improve after 3:30am though. Count on using the available earplugs at the front desk. It is hard for me to believe how expensive hotels are in Chicago. The breakfast...not enough protien choices Lots of sirens being near the firehouse. Being beside a fire hall, and mostly high price restaurants in the area. Pillows were a little to soft for my taste. te parking fee is a little bit expensive. Cost of parking was outrageous $55 per night. This alone would cause me not to stay there again. Suite with kitchenette - there is a large kitchen but no equipment apart from coffee maker and microwave - not even a spoon!. Dated decor. We did not like the unexpected increase in the nightly rate. We booked the room at $169 per night but when checking out Hampton Inns charged $199 per night for each night after the first one. We stayed for 6 nights so the over charge amounted to $150. We complained about this and they blamed it on Booking Online saying only the first night was $169 maybe because it was a Monday. We got the run-around. Why did this happen, your fault or theirs? Can we get a rebate?. Wish the pool was open longer at night. Parking as always in Chicago is absurd! 55 usd per day!. everything good. breakfast. When we arrived the Hotel had no knowledge of the confirmed booking we had made thro letsbookhotel.com. Fortunately they had a Queen suite available although were not able to provide the King Suite we had booked thro Booking .com. We could have found ourselves in a real pickle if they did not have any rooms to spare. Room was on front of building - VERY noisy Room not cleaned until 4pm each day when we were trying to nap. too expensive for a 2 star hotel. parking is chargable.
