I was grateful for the free parking, and being able to extend that until my conference ended. The room was very comfortable. The location was great, and I had not expected that of Brookline. I was able to relax the moment I set foot in the Inn. I plan to stay again.
Clean and quiet location. Only one parking space for each room. My daughter drove from Maine and took the spot. I had to pay to take the bus up to Boston and the train back to New Haven because a parking space was not available to me. That cost me extra money.all reviews »
my husband and I have stayed at the Longwood Inn several times and have never been disappointed. I have given it an excellent rating in every category because it deserves it. It's a beautiful old home and in a perfect location for tourists.
Comfortable room; access to kitchen; ample parking; relaxing environment; wonderful staff; felt like a home rather than hotel. Great view from the deck. Luxury and comfort for a reasonable price. Would like to return.
Lovely old Inn with beautiful panelling and woodwork. Having a communal kitchen and sitting room was nice. Convenient to Boston/Fenway and in a nice neighborhood.
GREAT location, close to fun bars and downtown Boston. It was very clean. The staff was friendly enough, plenty of parking. All in all it was pretty great.
The place is in a quiet, safe neiborhood. Nor far from the subway. Always clean and confortable. perfect kitchen and laundry facilities.
We liked everything! The location was excellent, the room was very nice (small, but we weren't in it much), lovely inside and out.

Beautiful house in a lovely, quiet area with local amenities (shops, restaurants, subway station) all within a 5-10 minute walk.
I thought that the main rooms were beautiful. It was a pleasure to be surrounded by this 'Arts and Crafts' designed house.
Convenient, short walk to the train. Good price. Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice, clean and safe neighborhood.
Clean room, off street parking, reasonable price, good location to restaurants and hospitals.
Very pretty converted mansion. Room was very spacious and bathroom was very nicely updated.
Generous hospitality with a free bar. Lovely views over the river. Friendly owner.
It was close too public transportation , local bar, restaurants in

Great room in a beaitiful house. Well located.
cleanliness, quiet, homey, convenient.
Clean well located and comfortable.
The staff were really friendly and the location was at a decent distance from the T-line.
The Inn is adorable! I just wish we could have spent more time there!.
location.
Always had good experoence here convenient to shopping nice outside patio beautiful antique furnishings but....
No staff around to ask questions.
Was under the impression that it was a Bed and Breakfast so I came down to no breakfast and had to pay extra to eat out.
There isn't anything I didn't like!.
Change soap to odor free or much milder scent. Same with laundry detergent used for sheets.
The lady at the check-in desk was the most annoying part. She was on the phone with a friend when I tried to check-in and when I tried to check-out. I had to wait for her to notice me (first world problems am I right?). Other than that, the mattress wasn't great, but you shouldn't be doing much sleeping in Brookline anyway.
Nothing.
Matresses a little soft.
Door locks seemed a bit flimsy.
Having driven there and arrived after the graduation I had travelled to attend, I couldn't figure out how to register etc. I discovered notes on the office door that contained many phone numbers. I did finally locate someone and they told me where the key to my room was. I think an email with that information might have alerted me to the hours of operation and what would be expected outside those hours.
No hair dryer.
Nothing.
It would have nice if they had at least breakfast .
the bathroom was very cold.
Actual keys instead of magnetic card keys.
Nothing.
The carpets in the room and common areas show their age.
price, although compared to the competition, it is reasonable.
Did not have my booking when I arrived Staff helpful but seemed distracted and unfocused so not surprised booking had been lost.
No atmosphere whatsoever.
The wifi was less than stellar, but we were on the 3rd floor. The cleaning staff left our door unlocked one day. (they apologized but that was it) If I was to stay there again I would ask for the 2nd floor, less stairs and better wifi reception. For the facilities it had I think over $150 a night was a bit much but it was booked up so there must not be a lot of places to stay.
My entire family is over 6ft tall, and we were in a 3rd floor room with slanted walls. Each of us managed to bang our head at least once. I wish we had been warned about the room.
no breakfast.
wifi not good
no staff working here after 9pm, but sometime we come back after 9pm. can not find people.
This time our room was tiny the bed was lumpy and there was a mouse in the next room.
