The Peabody Court, built in the 1920s as a luxury apartment building, is a delightful blend of elegant old-world design and decor with modern convenience. My room was spacious, well appointed, quiet and comfortable. The staff could not have been nicer. And the Peabody Court's location off Monument Square with its 1800s mansions surrounding a charming park cast me back in time. I will definitely return to this gem of a hotel.
all reviews » The staff were great and upgraded our room gratis when we arrived ro an 8th floor room with a spectacular view of the monument. The room was beautiful and large and had character, plus it was quiet. It sits in a wonderful neighborhood close to great restaurants and right on Mount Vernon park. You get a real flavor of Baltimore at its best here (I grew up here). Safety first - the need for a key to ride elevator up to floors and the Do Not Disturb light, The rates were unbelievable. The room was clean, loved the heated towel rack, and the restaurant and bar were very pleasant experiences. i liked the spacious room. the beds were good. at arrival we received perfect advice about parking, city visiting. Our friends room was very noisy and after contacting the reception they were transfered to a better room!!. Situated in Mount Vernon district, excellent restaurant attached (George's). Nothing. should be A better area for unloading and loading from cars as area is small and right on the street - 3 or more cars at the same time gets hectic but not much you can do. should have more curbside appeal - more vases with flowers and "red" carpet from door to the curb, some small lights in the side trees would be nice, and some of the bathroom fixtures could use some updating. Refrigerator kept us awake with machine noises off and on through the night. Wireless internet never worked in our room despite multiple tries and 3 calls or trips to the front desk. Front desk staff were not very eager to help except the one time when their manager was standing nearby. They didn't have a reservation for both rooms I booked on letsbookhotel.com, only one and they charged us again for both rooms which they said the manager would take care of. It was a hassle. Nothing specific. The introduction of the hotel doesn't correct...it doesn't have spa. The door to the room was hard to open. Everything else was fantastic. Poor internet connection. Wifi is too slow, we don't have the complimentary water and coffee cup the second day. The internet in my room was very slow and unstable. I could not do anything with it. I had to go to the lounge to have a better connection. Mix up of rooms when registering Wrong size room (too big, more expensive) Toilet overflowed, carpet got wet. Very inconvinenced Had to pack and change rooms.
