Everything, it was clean and looked freshly painted! Info about Asheville that was located in the room was wonderful, very useful and we visited one of the restaurants described and it was amazing. Oatmeal in hot pot was great!!!. We were thankful to be able to have such nice accomodations with a very friendly staff for us and our two dachshunds. Also, the pool was extremely clean and a huge perk!.
all reviews » I settled in to simple comforts of home-like atmosphere but without any luxe. People would have done anything for me I am sure of that. Room and breakfast were wpnderful. Kitchen staff was particularly welcoming. Desk clerk very knoledgable about logging into my iPad. Nice breakfast options, and the computer & printer in the lobby for printing boarding passes was a great touch!. Rooms were huge! Very comfortable beds and the sheets were super soft. Definitely the best bang for your buck!. The staff was very nice. They gave us a discount on our bill because the fridge was not working. Comfortable beds, clean, worked great for our needs. The reason I chose your location was that it looked like a manor out in the country. I did not expect to have my room on a major highway where I heard all the traffic noise. I see this as false advertising. Nothing. It was great!. A train ran right behind the hotel. Had really poor water pressure. Carpet coming loose next to window unit. Carpet not very clean uner the sink area. over priced snacks in vending machine. Everything was excellent except major drawback on smell in hallway. We were on 3rd floor and smelled like a cigarette factory. Room was non-smoking and didn't smell but noticed cigarette smell on our clothes after getting home. Big turnoff! Lower floor hallways did not notice smell. Need some type of shuttle service had to pay for a cab and was very expensive. Breakfast needed more choices No one in our party liked the microwaveable sausage biscuits. stayed in room 105, the refrigerator/microwave had a constant ticking sound that didnt stop. Train. That train passing late a night pulling you out or your restful sleep. The breakfast area is a joke for a hotel of this size. People were waiting a long time to get one of the 6-8 tables in the place. The breakfast was also scarce. For a Day's Inn - way overpriced. Tacky decor/colors and old and badly built. Breakfast was less than appealing, very limited selection, unless you enjoy oatmeal. I did not like hearing the train late at night and early in the morning. My bed sheets were dirty with black stains on them. Upstairs as soon as you got off the elevator it smelled like smoke. They preauthorized my card for rooms that moved to another card at check-in. The rooms were rather small not as spacious as I thought. Parking was horrible. The vending machine prices were extremely ridiculously expensive. I didn't like paying for a breakfast package that was free to everyone, but me!!!!. I had to kill about 10 stink bugs the first night. They were on the walls and one was on the pillow. When I checked in I was told I could pay with cash when I checked out but then they said they don't do that. Was an ok stay but won't be back. Heard doors slam and people walk all night. Have no idea why it's so loud. Very noisy and congested area. Ratty furnishings, ugly decor.
