Very good value for money for a family visiting Washington DC. Although you'd have to take a bus and then the metro to get to the centre, it's close enough to just take a taxi and it's about the same cost for a family of four. Recomend this to some one else. cleanliness of the hotel is very good. Conviniant for pulic transport and close to food outlets. Efficiency and frenliness of the front desk staff.

The breakfast room is too small. At peak time like 7:30 to 8 am, we had to wait to sit down for breakfast. Some work is needed around bathroom baseboards in Room 315 where we stayed. More healthy choices for breakfast would have been welcome. Room wasn't as clean as I would like. Corners in bathroom floor looked like they've been collecting dirt over many days/months. Room needed some TLC. Really showing age. there was nothing we didn't like, though the coffee was not up to par. Older property. Poor shower. Outdated room. Furniture was in need of repair. Scout troop ran up and down in front of room. We were there for funeral we needed our rest. Bathtub-shower was dingy with a covering in the bottom of the tub. Can use a new tub. Coffee pot did not work properly. Room did not have a small dining table and chairs. Soup in the attached Thai restaurant was horrible, but the meal was fine. Not the best area, but felt safe. General ambience. The hotel is acceptable but it is what one would expect for $80 a night in the DC area. Nothing fancy. No pool. The room was out dated and the furniture was broke and scraped up. There was a troop of scouts that ran up and down in front of our room. The bathroom needs to be fixed. (Walls needs to be patch an repainted). The bathroom had been changed and there was piping stubbed out of the wall. Outside needs an upgrade. What I didn't like is even at the day time I couldn't pull the curtains,because of lack of privacy. The bathtub didn't had astrainer and there was no vanity and sink in yhe bath room. Breakfast was bad. Location is not close to DC. This is also why the price is budget. The bathroom was horrible! The drain was rusty, the toilet and tub appeared to be painted and chipped. The wallpaper was old and degraded, there was no sink in the bathroom-- it was outside the bathroom between the closet and bathroom--I was so tired from the long drive I stayed. They need upgrading real bad! The t.v. Was an old tube tv, but it wasa clear picture. The motel is due for a complete renovation. It is run down. Mildew/mold in shower. Saggy mattress. Everything quite old. I did not feel well in the room. poor bathroom condition. the hotel is run down. bathroom was not clean. no iron in the room. Room terrible. needs to be updated. It was very dark, looked outdated, and felt unclean!. Room was awful. Huge stains on very old and tired upholstered chairs.Security lock was loose, looked like door had been kicked in at some point. Peephole did not function. Peeling wallpaper, dirty caulking in bath.Blood smears on wall next to mirror.Blood spots on bed sheets. Etc etc.
