We were afraid that at these prices we've be staying in a scroungy place, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Nice big safe that our laptop fit into, clean rooms with fridge and microwave, and right across from the main entrance to the park. The free breakfast had cold cereal, hardboiled eggs, fresh fruit, toaster waffles, and toast. Plenty to choose from. We move here from a very expensive place down the road and wished we'd started out here. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
all reviews » This is the second time that we have stayed here and I have been happy both times. There isn't anything fancy about this hotel, but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly and the pool is well maintained and to top it off you can't beat the location. The hotel is right across the street from Disneyland. Which is nice after you have been at the park and just want to get back to your to your room. Especially if you have young children. We came back here for a second time at Disneyland. It was value for money, convenient, and comfortable. Staff were great. They ensured that our family across two rooms were in adjoining rooms with a connecting door. Staff were also very helpful with transport requests, information, storing bags, etc. If I return to Disneyland, I will stay here. The Del Sol was clean, comfortable and perfect for a trip to Disneyland. The staff members were very helpfull and polite. It's great to have a fridge for waters and drinks and microwave in the room so you can make a snack and heat up leftovers. Everything was very clean and staff were very helpful we were very comfortable and it is as close to disneyland as you can get. Lots of food choice available and we didn't have to take a shuttle or rent a vehicle. I would recommend del sol . I have stayed in 3 different hotels around Disneyland. this was the best for location, breakfast and cleanliness of room. I would definitely stay here again. Ultimately you are there to go to the theme parks, this room serves it's purpose. We really liked having the bunk bed in the room. It made it easier for our older children. The room was very clean and comfortable. The proximity to the park was perfect. We have stayed at Del Sol several times and have always been treated as friends. Good service, clean environment and close proximity to Disneyland Main Entrance. The location is great and to go walkig to the Disney parks. The swiming pool and jacuzzi are very good. The room comfort is good and the breakfast is regular. Opposite maingate entrance to Disneyland. IHOP and Dennys adjacent so eating out was easy. Ample breakfast which consisted of cereal,toast, juice, coffee, donuts, cakes and waffles!. All members of the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, they really made us feel welcome and added to a pleasant stay. You can hear EVERYTHING from the rooms adjoining and above. The coffee in the breakfast are was really bad. It made the in-room coffee seem really great. A few more tv chanles to choose from. Wireless was better this time. Still slow though. Breakfast was as before - not really getting up for. Breakfast room was very small but you can fix a plate and take it to your room. The only complain I have is with the Internet connection.... It was really hit or miss , we were here 1 week and only had connection about 3 days of he trip the rest of the time we went to Denny's which is right beside del sol and used their Internet. Didn't care too much for the breakfast but kids would love it because of all the sugary breakfast foods. Parking is limited and the buildings are clean but showing their age. the hotel is very small. No lifts to upper floor when carrying heavy suitcases, although we were offered ground floor rooms too. We needed a few more towels and we had five people in the room. But we also didn't mention it, so it really wasn't the staffs fault. I would of like to seen a couple more luggage racks. There was only one. A little costly for what you get room-wise; the breakfast selection was pretty meagre and the eggs and coffee did not taste good at all. Beds were too firm for me, but okay for one night stay. Poor breakfast with limited hours...just boiled egg as protein. Ok for just cereal and toast. The breakfast. The coffee was not drinkable, and we threw it away. We stayed 3 days, but never came back to the breakfast after day 1. Beds not very comfortable Room rather small Small bathroom. When I booked the room online it indicated that there was a bunk bed for extra sleeping. We had 4 people - my husband and I - my 32 yr old son and 14 yr old granddaughter. It didn't work out with 2 queen beds for us and we had to bring in a roll away which we were charged extra for when I thought there'd be an extra bed. That was a little disappointing. The parking is really small. need more family channels. Breakfast is poor. Parking , room had to much furniture for its size. No dressing area because bathroom was to small.breakfast had very little heathy choices.would have loved yougurt, bananas bagals and maybe instant oatmeal. The food. Nothing. Breakfast area was small. Beds were very uncomfortable :( ask for a better mattress but it was the same :(. charging to use safe. you may need to add bus information in your info pack. Breakfast was horrible. Coffee was cold. Not much to choose from. Ran out of food before 9:00am. Staff in the kitchen acted bothered. Room was semi dirty before checking in. The room was justed painted and there was paint on the floor of the bathroom. Toilet was dirty on top when we showed up. TV stopped working, which apparently had a short. Was over charged for room. Our first night was correct but was overcharged 20.00 a night for the other 3 nights!. Small, limited parking. Charged $10 more on credit card than the invoice stated. Also, flipping through tv channels with kids and we accidentally stopped on a porn channel. That should be blocked especially since the majority of visitors are families with children!. We had to use a separate booking site and feel ripped off. We were quoted one price/ then I added in the tax/$8 parking and I was till charged over $100 more than the quoted price. I didn't have the email in front of me but I've never had this trouble with any other travel site except booking it. I guess I won't be using it. no cable tv which was supposed to be included. minor noise from family in unit above. Eggs and doughnuts for breakfast was cold and the breakfast room is too small. They charge you for parking but u can't park there on the day u check out even if u want to pay. Felt like a bait and switch. Price per night should include ALL taxes. Should never have to pay to use the safe. Parking was NOT included, rooms were dingy and beat up looking, Beds not comfortable.
