1) They were able to check us in 2 hrs. early, 2) friendly staff 3) met our maid and she even supplied us with rags to clean the car windows when she saw us struggling with napkins 4) clean, comfortable room 5) free WIFI and HBO (yay). Nothing fancy but definitely worth the $$ and filled our needs nicely. -

Good basic tourist hotel. Provided you are driving, very central to the whole LA area. A short walk to the trendy Grove shopping mall and the Farmers Market with its range of excellent, well priced mini restaurants. Easy on site parking and helpful friendly staff. Good size rooms and good value for money. This was our second stay and would stay there again.

To be honest, I picked this hotel straight for the price, after pondering between it and the Historic Mayfair. Luckily I found enough bad reviews and higher price on the Mayfair (probably because of the location difference) that we booked the Palga finally.
