The hotel is stunning. I've been to 5 star hotels in many cities of the world but none I liked as much as this. The lobby is huge and ultra luxurious, with details of excellent taste. The staff is most friendly from check in, cleaners, waiters of the restaurants, personal attendant at the pool ... all seek the comfort of the customers at all times. The attention is outstanding. We have been in Dubai for 7 nights holiday with my 4 years and has been a wonderful experience for the whole family. C.
all reviews » It's a new hotel, everything is at great quality, everything staff serves with great professionalism. Room service is quicker than anywhere I stayed, such as London JW Marriott or HK Ritz. Because our stay was during the Ramadan month, only one restaurant is open in the hotel in daytime, the Flow Kitchen. But there still a range of options and their foods are very tasty! Hotel offers amazing night life, including the Shisha, water cig, they customized me a mix of grapefruit and mint, which is v. The staff! On 9th floor, we had exceptional service from Bridget and Sachin. Didn't much like the food (at least not compared with similar hotels in Africa), but chef Eranda Samaraweer made us special dish we enjoyed and Rahul Chowdury, also from Flow waiting on us was also very attentive to our needs. I also loved the "business" facilities available to us: use of on site computer and printer. Also loved the golden hour! But the bar staff need to learn and have access to ingredients for popular. Very comfortable hotel in a good location with large rooms for a cot. Great facilities for families including pools, and special kids play water area, plus beachside access with views of the palm & city create a great vista. Great service by pool for food/drinks and complimentary water is a nice bonus given the temperatures! Reception/concierge staff who greet you and sort out taxi's are very helpful and friendly. Really appreciated the quick turnaround on requests for warm milk for our . - the hotel staff was very helpful, welcoming and professional - the hotel was luxurious and well equipped - the room was clean and housekeeping came twice a day - taxi prepared 24/7 in front of the hotel - private beach and 2 private pools with beach staff always prepared to serve you drinks and food - we stayed at the Gold room which meant we had an access to the free internet and gold lounge, where the breakfest were served. Other rooms may not have an free access to the internet. The staff were excellent as were all hotel amenities; our 6th floor balconied room was splendid. Fairmont The Palm was perhaps the very best accomodation that my wife and I have holidayed at from the many hotels that we have stayed at on multiple continents. Exemplary staff training is evident withing all staff positions in this hotel. We loved our room and also the pool & beach area. We enjoyed sitting outside and having the buffet for lunch. It was a little expensive so if we were stating longer we probably wouldn't eat there everyday but for a once off treat it was delightful. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We booked a Gold room and the whole Gold Floor experience is fantastic! Breakfast facing the beach and arabian gulf, complimentary afternoon every day, best Earl grey in ages, fab staff who recall your names and your preferences would love to stay there again food better than Atlantis!. Wonderful hotel with four swimming pools and right beside the sea, everything was great and the bed was amazing, we would go back again.This hotel is perfectly situated on the Palm not to far from the mainland for food, entertainment, and shopping malls etc. The hotel room (suite) was fantastic, we stayed on the Fairmont Gold floor (9th Floor). The facilities were amazing and the staff were extremely firendly and helpful. The pool and beach area were excellent with fantastic views of the skyline of Dubai. We liked the check in service on the 9th.. The space available in the gold lounge and the privacy that was provided. A very personal experience. The selection of drinks and food was great, especially the sushi! View, all was an enjoyable experience. The friendliness of the staff , cleanliness, location and the facilities. The gold floor lounge is amazing it has wonderful sea view and excellent facilities.loved the spa too loved the vanity table (finally someone has women travelers in mind). The hotel is new, so everything is clean and nice. The room was big and also the barhroom. It was very nuce to have a small closet in the room. We had the room with the Club Lounge and it was worth it. The gym is very good. But it only takes some 40 Diraham (6 pounds, or 10 dollars) to get to city centre by taxi. Centrally controlled air con! We're of Asian origin from Africa and it was too cold for us. We couldn't even warm room up, as it's centrally controlled! I would never choose any hotel again with this system just for this very reason... On arrival, we should have been told we could also use the main restaurant for breakfast, as it has a greater variety!. Service in Flo bar /restaurant a little haphazard and staff seemed stressed. Cot wasn't in room on check in and required two follow up calls, however this was promptly organized at second request. Nothing to report. There wasn't anything that we didn't like. As mentioned the stay and food was a little expensive for our budget so of we were to return we might not be able to stay there for a long period of time but would definitely return for a short stopover. The electrics are faulty in room 910 and we had to ask for 4 different irons, to improve things they could have swapped out room and offered to do the ironing it was annoying! The shower door doesn't open over a towel and it leaves even though reported on the first day, not all the maid staff are that great one stood out making the work of the others seem half hearted!. This might just be a British thing but after a long journey what you want is a cup of tea and you would expect a five star hotel would have put a pint of fresh milk in the fridge, as this long life stuff ruins a good brew. That's my only complaint . Unfortunatley we stayed on the weekend where the bars were closed from 6pm Wednesday to 8pm Thursday (including the Gold Lounge). We had not been advised that the facilities would not be available during our stay which was annoying. Only thing was I couldn't plug my Iphone 5s into the older 4 socket in the audio system provided, no adaptor. The closet light was attached to the main entrance light Which made it difficult to view the wardrobe when our son was sleeping. Nothing major at all. As they are still new sometimes the room service is a bit slow . The staff is still missing some small but important details, such as replacing amenities in the bathroom (they only replaced after the second reminder). Internet is not free in all areas of the hotel. We booked a massage in the Spa and the therapist wasnt well prepared at the beginning - the treatment was not in accourdance to the description, so we complained at the spa reception and the they said they would investigate and get back to us, but we had no more news. I couldn't stay for longer. Breakfast options very limited to buffet only at 140d. If you are only interested in some fruit and maybe some toast, this is very expensive for 2 people. Nothing. Definately nothing!. I had one complement only which that at the morning time at around 10 am the housekeeping while are cleaning the next room were noise .... the rest are wonderful. Not enough sun beds in swimming pool area. Rocky beach. The cocktails at the beach bar are absolut disaster. mmmm nothing. Jellyfish in the beach. Bad telephone system in the room.. calls get disconnected. Some phone service agents are very slow in answering normal questions. Sometime you can hear external noise in the room. Sometimes you have to call to ask for room cleaning. The food menu at the pool area was poor. Choice of burger and a couple of salad. The hotel really need to work on a better menu with more options. Do not take half board, there are so many restaurants in Dubai, it's a pity to have to stay in the hotel every night. We had to move rooms because there is still some building work going on and not all of the restaurants are open yet. Wait for breakfast and the need to pay for wifi. I feel when you are paying a good price for the hotel room the wifi should be free as a gesture of good will. Nothing negative to report. Really had nothing bad to say. Frevo restaurant. The room had more of a feeling of a business style hotel rather than a luxury vacation. We faced issues on checkout time they refuse to extended till 2pm in the beginning but one guy his name ibrahim helped us at the end so we didnt enjoyed in another swimming round. The fire alarm it was on at 10 am and they evacuated us ten told us it was a false alarm it scared the shit out of me. Didn't like that at the peak time the beach of the hotel could not accomodate all hotel guests with beds (they basically ran out of beds and could not provide guests with any alternate means- some guests had to leave because of this reason) and the beach staff were too slow and some even too rude in serving. The staff although very friendly were very slow. Room service, hotel restaurant and pool bar daily we waited over an hour to get even water. There was nothing at all !.
