  this was our first visit to the lamplighter we were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we arrived with our 2 cavalier dogs who were made a big fuss of we also were asked if we wanted to eat in a separate room so the dogs could be with us which we declined as they are more than happy to stay in their sleeping crate .the breakfas... what people say » t was superb as were the meals in the restaurant at night initially we were only going to eat in there one night but it was so good we ate every nig - The innkeepers were charming! The hotels rooms newly decorated and the kingsize beds very comfortable with lovely pillows. The breakfast was also particularly delicious, with fresh juices, Greek yogurt with berry compote for example. They accommodated well for special vegetarian requests, even going out for veggie sausage for us for our second day's breakfast. Well done and thank you for a fantastic stay! Mr and Mrs Ryan

  Very welcoming and child friendly. The kitchen had everything you could need and bedrooms were comfortable. Very useful to have parking just outside. - The apartment was very spacious and modern decoration inside. Very clean and tidy inside and very close to the town of Windermere

  Wow, we stayed here in Dec 09 and it is wonderful, no wonder its the aa funkiest guest house in the whole UK! will return and would recommend highly, try the Bowness suite, it has its own pation, amazing bathroom and your breakfast magically appears out of nowhere! - The staff made us very welcome and the room was fantastic will be staying there a... what people say » gain.

  From the moment we arrived we were treated like old friends as opposed to guests. The hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility offering warm and very comfortable, quality interior accommodation . The menu and wine list is excellent, and the food served was high quality and very tasty. We would highly recommend this excellent establishment to anyon... what people say » e,and look forward to returning. - Lovely hotel, the room was spotless with good facilities and the staff went out of their way for us, very helpful and accommodating. It was in a good location, only a short walk to Windermere Village. I would definitely consider staying here again, and have already recommended it to family and friends.

  The hospitality of the owners was fantastic, they created a comfortable atmosphere. The food was first class and the rooms were excellent. - the hotel was excellent very friendly and food fantastic alan and suzanne the owners put you at ease as soon as we arrived
