The Mansion House & Apartments a beautiful Grade II listed building in the residential area of the Warberries. In 2003, the hotel was awarded the historical Blue Plaque by the Torbay Civic Society. The Mansion House has a number of luxury suites, as well assuperior and standard bedrooms, all individually appointed. The courtyard contains luxury holiday apartments. The resort boasts one of the finest ranges of leisure facilities in Torbay, including an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a well-equipped fitness centre. A range of relaxing and therapeutic spa and beauty treatments is available.

Bishops Court Hotel is really genuinely beautiful old fashioned hotel and generally a really nice place to stay. Both me and my girlfriend couldn't find a single thing to gripe about, the entire place is beautifully furnished and clean, the room and the hotel generally has a very welcoming feel and the staff are very friendly and proffessional. The value for money was extraordinary £50 BB per room.

It is a very friendly hotel, the facilities are excellent, though the rooms are a little tired.Breakfast was very good,but the restaurant was not open in the evening. The location and price are excellent. It has some really good facilities and the breakfasts are very good. The 24 hr reception service is very important to us.welcoming hospitality, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent,in particular the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great on both mornings. Room was lovely offering amazing views.the pool and sauna were fab, breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. The room was a little dated and the hotel could do with a few more pounds spent on up keep.However there was nothing to major and the room was certainly clean and tidy. It was not bad enough to stop me recommending it.To quiet no guests in hotel at time of stay. Decoration and carpets need freshning up. All abrs were closed (though this was due to it being January). The jacuzzi smelt strongly of blocked drains and was not that warm, which was a shame, because all other facilities were good. Noise from the room above, creaking floor. shower and shower curtain was very dirty. Creaking floorboards all night. Unfortunately, the bowling and bar football were not in use which we enjoyed on our last visit. It needs modernising but thats reflected in the price.Poor condition of bathroom. Shower in bathroom did not work, very bad smell in corridor and closed bar.The room was very dated and needed to be modernised. breakfast area tables bit close together. no bar open on 2 nights. The smell in our room was disgusting. The hotel had plenty of character being an old building, the flooring has seen pleny of feet over the years and the floor boards could do with replacing to be honest to prevent everyone hearing your every step. Some of the bathroom had seen better days to be honest, but was fully functional. Unfortunately, the french door safety bolt couldn't be used and a recent window repair was un-nerving. Rooms in need of refurbishment.No lift to 1st floor and therefore lugging stuff around miles of corridors. I was cold in my room. Not able to adjust the temperature. Meal experience overly stiff and formal by waiting staff but one could hear kitchen staff shouting at each other in the background. Not a relaxing situation. Bit run down, but there are plans to address this with new owners. The hotel is a little tired and needs some investment. Its standards were probably not up to a rate of £90 night. Staff were super and very friendly and the location good. General state of disrepair, both communal areas and the room.Considering our stay was at the begining of the season it was terrible.Bed was uncormfortable,bathroom was mouldy in places,corridors had peeling wallpaper and water stains. I kept expecting to see Basil Fawlty!!. whilst there a party of german holidayakers were stayig for two nights; there was insufficient staff to cope in the dining room and teh kitchen, causing the german guestt to wait fro long periods. comments about the germans and other ethnic groups by some staff were offensive and racist. Some of it was in poor condition and in need of a good overhall. noise. The bedroom was very cold,poorly appointed and the bed very uncomfortable.Most rooms were very tired except the dining room.Cold swimming pool, hotel rather tatty, room we stayed in was at the back and has no natural light so very dismal. Hole in floor in our room too!. hotel in poor condition. gardens at rear very poor, nice at front. bathroom very poor. could not go out on balconey due to no key for french doors.poor facilities, long walk to harbour,needs major refurbishment. Sea View was distant, room was noisy (ceiling/floor above very "creaky). the dining room was not open in the evenings and the coffee shop was more like a school tuck shop! the hotel also badly needs some maintaining,we had water coming through the roof on the 3rd floor. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, one of us had to move over to the sofa to try and get some sleep. Lift facilities poor and lots of stairs. Room very dusty.

From a380 take Newton Road; when you get to the old Torre Station take the turning on the right at Avenue Road, follow the signs for the seafront,go left along Torbay Road, Torre Abbey Sands on your right to the harbour, then left up Torwood Street into Babbacombe Road for about 1 mile, turn left into Lower Warberry Road for about 1/4 mile, the hotel is on the right.
