Only stayed the one night but found the rooms comfortable with everything you could wish for, down the complimentry sewing kit, shower cap, make up pads and toileteries. The owners were really welcoming and helpful, even insisting on carrying are luggage to and from the car. Highly recommended. The owners created a friendly and comfortabe atmosphere, they areclearly running an efficient business.all reviews »
The staff were friendly, a very nice place to stay. everything, it was just fantastic. Friendly staff, excellent food. close to the party venue. the breakfast was great and the staff were very welcoming. The noise from the pub goers going home was very noticable. Breakfast is only severed between 08.30 and 09.00 I would expect alittle more flexibility especially when people work all week and thenhave to get up at that time or miss out on breakfast. room was very small , parking was off site. the beds were very uncomfatable.

On the ground floor, you can enjoy the lounge, bar and dining room. The large lounge has an impressive bay window which makes the room light and airy, ideal for relaxing with a book or newspaper. The original Edwardian fire surround now houses a cosy gas fire.

Access to Kingsholm is by several sets of steps. All bedrooms can only be accessed by stairs.
Travelling information
By Car
From Exeter (M5):
- Take the A380 and follow signs for Torquay.
- On entering Torquay, follow signs for the harbour.
- At the seafront, turn left, and drive past the Princess Theatre, turning left again at the small roundabout.
- When you reach the clock tower roundabout, turn left into Torwood Street (which becomes Babbacombe Road).
- The guest house is about 400 yards ahead on the left, just after the bowling alley but before the museum.
On Foot
From Torquay Station:
Walk onto the seafront and turn left (sea on your right). Follow the seafront past the Princess Theatre, and then turn left around the harbour to the clock tower roundabout. Then follow as above.
