I would also like to thank very much the manager for updating our room to a suite for our honeymoon night, which added the icing to the cake after a perfect day. I cant thank you all enough for kind helpful service. The room had a gorgeous view of the sea and harbour, the atmosphere was excellent and the staff were very helpful, especially in relation to bringing a baby.I was very impressed with all aspects of my stay at the hotel in particular the helpfulness of all the employee's.

We could hear our neighbours. The food in restaurant was a little over priced and car parking was expensive.the cost of eating at the hotel. Had to call reception at 05.00 due to people shouting and screaming in nearby room. Small Ensuite. The dress standards of guests in the restaurant left much to be desired. the dress code should be enforced.Yes, on the Friday night the restaurant was busy and staff seemed unable to cope. I waited 20 minutes after asking a number of times for some butter for my roll. The meal took over two hours and we only had two courses. Really disappointed, however Saturday evening was totally opposite, the staff were really attentive and the food was marvelous. Drain carrying rainwater was partialyy blocked and water flooded our balcony. It was reported, but we had no feedback as to whether or not it had been fixed. Not a major problem, the rain was torential and the flood cleared within an hour , but the balcony was left muddy.No complimentary bottled water in our room. No ironing facilities in our room - very bad as crumpled clothing might be needed immediately after unpacking eg for an evening out. The loo seat kept coming unstuck! The coffee machine in the bar was broken so we had to have a cafetiere instead. The bedroom had no air conditioning and was very hot in the night. alcohol prices slightly dear. One staff member was obnoxious/not customer focused twice and successfully spoiled part of what would have been an extremely lovely experience. The breakfast was dreadfull. We were "sold" newspapers bur reception did not advise that there were complimentary papers in reception. no hot water on sunday morning , car park charge too expensive. The double lock on our room was not working. A mirror sited nearer a window would have ben helpful.The variation in the rooms is huge, we had to ask to change because the first room we were allocated was of a very poor standard. The double bed, I did not sleep for the two nights I stayed there. The mattress needs replacing, plus the lighting was not adequate fro reading. I did complete the room info and had to the manager indicating these items.Bedroom decor was tired as was the balcony area attached. The exterior needed a good revamp. As far as if I would recommend the hotel I say 60% yes 40% no. the only comment i will make is that i would never have said that the room i booked was premier i was dissappointed but then the view was great. Very short and very narrow bed. Room somewhat "tired". Toilet seat loose, one light bulb not working. Poor direction signs in hotel. These observations passed on to the hotel during the visit. Did not like view of car park. Terrible noise until 1am from function room right below our room + No hairdryer.yes our room window did not close and we were situated by the fans for the kitchens which started at 5am in the morning until 10pm at night found this to be unsatifactory.

Please note that there is a smart-casual dress code in the hotel restaurant. The pool is sometimes used for swimming lessons (check for times). Guests can still use the pool at these times. Children are welcome to use the swimming pool until 19:30. The swimming pool is adult only Monday - Friday between 19:30 and 21:00. Please note that children aged 5 and over will be charged for breakfast and dinner as taken. Pets can be accommodated in some bedrooms for GBP 10 per night per pet, subject to availability and by prior arrangement.
