The whole experience was very good, we used your Hotel as a stop halfway to Cornwall for a weeks holiday and liked it so much that we decided to stop with you on our return. The hotel was really quiet when we stayed, we even had the leisure centre/gym to ourselves! Fantastic. The staff are friendly and cheerful.The service was first-class. The Health Facilities were exceptional for the price. Excellent breakfast.

Our stay was lovely - the hotel was very clean and well decorated rooms were not huge but good enough. The leisure facilities were great, the location of the hotel was lovely - out in the country but close to Swindon. Breakfast great, pool lovely, staff friendly and free coffee, water etc appreciated. A nice extra. the rooms are great really spacious and good work area. Nice pool great steam room and jacuzzi. Good condition, clean and quite location. Location. I would suggest that a greater availability of bar snacks might be worthwhile though we were offered a freshly made sandwich. This would be even more important on weekends when the restaurant is not open. Sat Nav took me about 1km past hotel down country road!. it took me long time to find the place. no possible to find by GPS. suggest to have their direction sign plate to the main road. Include address in Sat Nav, may be better directions to the hotel from the High Street and may be include some fish for breakfast ( for Halal and non meat eaters - sorry about this ).No but if its a buzzing atmosphere and meeting people you want - this isnt the place for you. Its also quiet far from anywhere so not a great place should you want any nightlife around. Oh - they are also a fan of the air con downstairs so its was pretty chilly alot of the time - that really is the only negative I can think of though!. There were functions on over the weekend and could only order bar food which took ages to arrive due to the above. There was no room service and the bar meals were expensive. Would have liked wi-fi to be free as most hotels now provide it free and in the rooms. Food in evening was expensive. Very limited bar menu for evening meal at the week end (food was good). There was a half bottle of wine and some bottles of coke in the fridge but no wine or bottle opener in the room. the fact my reservation had not got to them luckily I had a copy. Small windows in the rooms, had to have the lights on during the day. No Vodafone mobile phone coverage in the area of the building I stayed, i had to stand in the car park to use my mobile along with quite a few other guests. No air conditioning, making the rooms very "stuffy".Size of bath. Expensive evening meal.

Please note that the leisure facilities excluding the gym will be closed until the morning of the 15th of May. The leisure facilities at Alexandra House are only accessible to those over 18 years of age. At weekends, bar snacks replace the full restaurant service.

Travelling information

By car:
From the M4 (west)
- Leave the M4 at Junction 16 and take the 3rd exit signed Wroughton and B4005.
- Continue for approximately 800 metres and then turn left, staying on the B4005 towards Wroughton.
- Continue for almost 3 km, travelling over 2 mini-roundabouts, until you reach a T-junction.
- Turn left onto the A4361 towards Chiseldon.
- Travel straight over a mini-roundabout and then at the next roundabout, with the 'Three Tuns' pub on your left, take the 2nd exit towards Barbury Castle.
- Continue for 2.5 km on the B4005, passing a housing estate on your right.
- Take the next turning on your right, then the next road on your right.
- Alexandra House will be on your left-hand side.

From the M4 (east)
- Leave the M4 at Junction 15 and take the 1st exit signed A346 to Marlborough.
- After 1.5 km, take the turning on the right signed B4005 (situated just before the petrol station).
- Continue on this road until you reach the next mini-roundabout with the 'Patriots Arms' pub on your left where you will take the 2nd exit staying on the B4005.
- Follow remaining directions from the B4005, outlined above.
