  The room (1) was a good size and the bed very comfortable. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast although not self service offered a good choice and the cooked breakfast was very good. I thought the hotel offered excellent value for money for a couple of nights stay in Exeter. Encountered a bathroom sink leak on arrival around 7pm... what people say » ,it was dealt with very efficiently and was all sorted out by the time we returned at 11pm which was great service on a Saturday night. We were also o - The hotel was very clean and tidy, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. What really surprised me, was that the location of the hotel was much closer to the centre of Exeter than I had imagined. It was only a 5 minute leasurely walk to the heart of the city. I would have no hesitations whatsoever of staying here again. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.

  Staff (especially reception) were helpful and friendly. Room, although small, was well appointed and beds very comfortable. Good hot showers. Great location in Exeter. And a better rate than other, most defiitely inferior, hotels and BandB's in the area. - My wife by chance met Michael Caines, who was so polite--we love his food.Have to say the hot... what people say » el was out of our price bracket, but my wife needed spoiling!   It was very convenient just for where we were going for a family party .All of the staff at reception were very helpful at breakfast, all staff were very pleasant and helpful.There was a good atmosphere in the hotel which was a bonus.   The Telstar was about the 15th hotel we had stayed in during our tour of England, and it was one of the best. Very reasonable rates, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable room, great wi-fi, excellent food and a clear commitment to the environment. We had one of the front rooms on the main road, but this was no problem whatsoe... what people say » ver. We also parked (for free!) round the back, the benefit of which far outweighed the minor trickiness in getting out again. Lovely view of Exeter f - Loved the friendly efficiency, the decor, the attention to detail and the breakfast. I thought at first that the mattress was uncomfortable, but then slept like a log, so what do I know! A few minutes walk from the train station but only a short walk into town, so perfect location for our needs. Thank you in particular for looking after our bag for the day and for the very welcome cup of tea and rest in the lounge before our journey home, even though we had checked out several hours before.

However it was the first b & b that I saw people waiting for tables for breakfast and felt uncomfortable that people were sat by the side of me waiting for a table while we were eating our breakfast. Other than that it was fine perhaps decor was a little tired and not totally in tuning the the building. - The Georgian Lodge is situated in the centre of Exeter with a short walk to the highstreet and shops! The staff were very polite and welcoming and couldnt do enough for you! We were both very pleased with the standard of the breakfast menu and the quality of the food! A good way to start the day with a hot full english! :-) couldnt fault the cleanliness of the b&b!

I was in a tiny but quite nicely furnished single bedroom with shared bathroom and it was all impeccable and comfy, very conveniently near the train station and a 15min walk from Uni or city centre. - Lorraine was very friendly and helpful during our stay.
