The comfort of the room. The quaity of the rooms are first rate and extremely comfortable, much better than hotels were I have spent twice the price. No fuss or bother. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.Room is clean. Location is O.K. room was well appointed, tastefully decorated, bed was good quality. Good Welcome. Very Quiet. ? Low occupancy. Close to shops. The price was good at £40 and the location was excellent for my needs. Well located for train station and Stevenage old town.Surroundings and ease of access. Good facilities. The bathorom was clean and it was very quiet. comfortable bed. Nice location, clean, spacious room.close to town. Good location for our purposes. location, cleanliness,. The rooms are clean and quiet. clsoeness to town centrwe. won't say like it was somewhere to stay whilst in the area.Location was ideal for my trip. Proximity to town. There were not enough lights on in the hotel. Having to return the follwing day to obtain a VAT receipt for the stay. Ability to have an evening meal in the restaurant, instead of having to walk into town. couldn't open window despite heat because of traffic noise, no hairdryer. TV didnt work. Extractor fan seemed dodgy.I wasnt bothered by this. There was no soap, bath foam or flannels available. The hotel was a bit dated but good value at £40. The double bed was a bit small and would have been a squeeze for two people. Shower water pressure was a bit low but OK for one night. The main light did not work in the bathroom although I forgot to report it as the shaver light was good enough.Paid one price on your website and then told a different price on arrival. The room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly for some time e.g. there was dust on the surfaces etc. the shower was pathetic and dribbled horribly, no sugar or caffeinated coffee. No biscuits with tea and coffee facilities. Not a welcoming hotel. Had just been refurbished and was disappointed that despite being ina wedding party of 19 they would not open the bar as they had nodraught beer!. one of the breakfast girls was very miserable, not one smile at all. Restaurent was closed. Noone at reception on arrival.Ther was no hot water so i could not have a wash or a shower - totally unacceptable. the welcome was hardly welcoming and the whole place and 0 atmosphere...The shower was cold staff/ owner not that bothered until I stood my ground then I was moved to another room. Reception not manned. Phone No to call, but on arrival no-one answered and I had to search out staff. Bar not open. Tea/Coffee facilities not supplied, had to call staff. No-one knocked just left the items outside the door!. Staff were poorly trained, although they wanted to help, the service was very basic. no one there reception unmanned, nothing open, deserted, i think it is about to close. Staff not around very often - always having to call for them from reception. Service was terrible. No one on the desk in the morning and un-willing to come down to give me a receipt so I could check out. I was due for a meeting so couldn't wait the suggested 10minutes! Then told the printer was broken anyway! Hotels like this do not deserve to be in business.Damp dark and smelly. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
