Lovely cottage, spacious bed- & bathroom. Very close to the airport. . Good and foreseeable service, breakfast and accomodation.Absolutely necessary to remember that the cottage is opposite the golf club -
otherwise it's pretty difficult to find the gate to the lodge, especially at night.
There should be a nameplate at the fence facing the road. On the day before arrival we were told that the lodge had a pick-up servcie from Stansted airport. On the evening of the arrival, it turned out that there is no such service, and that we had to take a taxi. The owner, however, gave us a lift to the train station the next morning. all reviews »

Please note that the hotel doors close at 01:00. Taxi transfers outside of the specified times can be arranged at a further charge.

Take bus number 308 from Stansted Airport or Bishop Stortford Station. Tell the driver that you want to get off at the Bishops Stortford Golf Club. Woodlands Lodge will be on your right.
By Car
From London Stanstead International Airport:
- Head southwest toward Bassingbourn Road.
- Continue straight onto Bassingbourn Road. Go through 1 roundabout.
- Turn left to stay on Bassingbourn Road.
- At Bassingbourn Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Thremhall Avenue.
- Take the ramp onto A120.
- Take the A120 exit towards the M11 (N).
- At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A120/Thremhall Avenue.
- Continue to follow the A120.
- At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A1250/Dunmow Road.
- Woodlands Lodge will be on the left exactly opposite Bishop's Stortford Golf Club.
From Bishop Stortford Train Station:
- Head north on Dane St toward Station Road
- Turn right at Station Road
- Turn left at A1060/London Road
