Friendly service, lovely room, excellent food. Very clean and friendly. everything!. The convenience of the location, on the Western outskirts of the City, making it easy to get around the preimeter without having to go into the ineer city to get to other suburbs. A friendly, comfortable hotel. Problems with the computer (wrong name on my room when booking a drink etc) gave the staff problems. Comfortable room, good bathroom, excellent view. Pleasant staff. I have no negative thoughts, and will stay there again.near main road but v quiet. friendly staff. were made to feel welcome. Friendliness of staff, attention to requests. The room was bright and airy, bed very comfortable. Manager extremely friendly and helpful, TV did not work in room, he dealt with it promptly and effiiciently, ended up moving me to another room. Breakfast freshly cooked and very good.Superb views. Cleanliness, nice bar and great location. Breakfast was nice as well. Comfort and decor of room, assistance from staff, scenery. Country location , yet accessible to Sheffield.Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, excellent location for Peak District and close to Sheffield by car or taxi, good selection of beers and wines, nice little village and friendly locals. Also very clean and well furnished rooms. Very nice: coal fires burning in the day. We'll love to come back!. A nice comfortable hotel. Middle age outside, modern inside. Room to move in our room. We liked the little touches like the couch, chair and tv. Great views over Sheffield from the bedroom windows.Hotel is located in a quiet and idyllic setting in the countryside. Nice atmosphere in historic building with comfortable rooms, recently refurbished. Staff friendliness. I was surprised in a good way about the standard of the room and overall standard of the hotel. Good location. Lovely room.Very clean rooms, modern decor, friendly staff, excellent food. Wouldstay there again. Friendly. Good location. Friendly staff. Convenient for Peak District or Sheffield city centre. Evening meal available if wanted. Comfortable rooms and requested extras all ready for us on arrival. Nice cosy atmosphere.Good size of room, very comfortable. good attentive staff. Clean and in a lovely location.teh food was excellent. An excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is clean and rooms were tidy and in good repair. nice views ,lovely room. No, it was really fair value for a couple. We would consider staying again if visiting family. Please could the sign be changed to "Norfolk Arms Hotel" rather than "Norfolk Hotel"!! We ended up miles down the road before we realised we'd already passed it...Not enough teabags in the room!. service at breakfast very slow. A few more stools by the bar area for walkers and villagers would probably add to the cosy atmosphere. The bathroom was ultra modern and great to look at but not user friendly.Beware: this hotel is not located where (currently) marked on the maps at booking.com: it's not where Ringinglow Rd. meets Eccelsall Rd.; it's about 2.5 miles up on Ringinglow Rd. from there, with very limited bus connections. The hotel is great if you travel by car, but really difficult to reach by public transport. There was nothing I did not like but i thought the staff could have been trained ever so slightly better. Breakfast service was a little slow. Tv very dodgy - eventually gave up on us. Would have been nice to have lounge area to relax in with our older children. Only meal tables available in the bar and one sofa. Lack of good lighting around mirrors for shaving / make-up. Tables in bar required a thorough cleaning.Hard to locate the hotel but we got directions over the phone. Limited menu for dining room and bar food. Not sure the room had been checked before we arrived. We had to ask for a phone, biscuits box in the welcome pack empty, no bin in the bathroom but generally sorted out. There were too many corners left unfinished. Beds were stored on the fire escape stairs. The fire escape instructions were generic and not specific enough to be useful. Room cleaning on first morning left toilet and basin dirty, but replaced the towels (even though they were replaced on the rail). Biscuits not replenished. No extraction in the bathroom, even though there wasn't a window. On arrival stated that they did not have a booking in our name - when we presented copy of your booking confirmation stated they did have a room free. Eventually they found the booking. No marmalade at breakfast on Monday - we were told that they had run out! A spoon under one of the tables on Monday morning was still there on Wednesday. A lot more if we had room to write. The reception staff gave no infomation about the hotel on arrival eg what time breakfast was served . The menu for bar food was very limited as several items were off the menu on the first evening and this did not improve on the second evevning as they had run out of chips along wirh other items. Breakfast on the first day was fairly good but on the second was reheated from day before!!. the central heating was very poor , it was cold , our radiator was not workin properly , even though one of the staff bled it , it soon went cold .
