  The rooms and beds are very nice. Very good breakfast as well. Shaftesbury is a small place, so it is easy to walk from the hotel see the sights (countryside views on both sides of town + Gold Hill). The dining experience was very nice, with a waiting drink and reading the menu in the outside garden, and we got a very good table just inside the op... what people say » en doors (a good thing when the weather is lovely). The food was very good, though perhaps not quite as wonderful as expected. - The hotel is described as a Restaurant with Rooms. It is a small independent hotel owned by the excellent chefs who have great experience of working in luxury hotels worldwide. They provide good accommodation with attention to detail. All staff were both friendly, helpful and professional. The restaurant is the jewel, The guys know how to cook and present superb food with an extensive wine list.

Huge bed - probably the most comfortable I've ever slept in! Plus we ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. The place had a nice relaxed atmosphere, and all the staff were welcoming and attentive. I will definitely stay here again.

  Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Well located - The staff were very freindly and helpfull, I thought the price was alittle high considering you had to pay for breakfast as an extra cost.
