Arrived in the dark along a single track country lane. Sat nav showing me the way to packridge farm. I couldn't see a sign for the dairy but I drove up the drive with my lights on full beam and the owner came out to greet me! Phew I was in the right place! Very welcoming, carried my bag in and up to the room 'cafe au lait' in the main farm house. Delightful room, bathroom hidden behind wardrobe doors. Spacious, new and clean. Bedding really cosy. Very quiet. Breakfast is a buffet, lots if cho.
all reviews » I liked how the guy did his best to help me out when I wanted to bathe my nearly 2 year old but my room didn't have a bath, he was very helpful and sorted me out with a makeshift bath! Just a nice place all round, very clean and comfy, in a nice quiet area (only a 5 minute drive to Paulton's Park though, ideal!) My (nearly) 2 year old seemed to like it, and slept well through the night. Facilities were top notch. There isn't anything not to like about this accommodation. Helpful managers, who listened to my request for non feather pillows and Soya milk Handsome friendly dog ,beautiful gardens with swimming pool and hot tub. History of house provided. Tucked away in the country and within minutes to motorway. What a gem.,. Delightful hosts. Clean and attractive accommodation, rooms had everything you could need and free wifi. Breakfast is well done, with home made preserves and warm croissants etc. Resident dog is a delight and it is a dog friendly place. Can't praise enough, we loved it and will be returning. The help and advise, and such lovely people to stay with and Bertie the dog he was a treat. Great B/fast all you could eat and more. Such a great place to stay just wish it had been for a week or more such a great place and people. Peaceful location, we had both rooms at 'the dairy' which includes a separate kitchen, pool table area, with a microwave and fridge if you wanted to do simple self catering. Close to Peppa Pig world! Where we were going. The accomondation was excellent with lots of 'little extras' which were thoughtfully put in our room. The breakfast was superb and the owners were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The whole stay was relaxing and comfortable and Mike couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was amazing and I will use this place again and again!. Everything! Great staff and newly built room was spacious and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this room to a family staying in the area. A good sized bedroom with a very comfortable bed with nice views of the garden made this a pleasant place to stay. If you are into snooker, there's a table for you to play on. I kept banging my head. I didn't like that. I had to learn to walk with my head down. Bit of a mix up when I got there, which led to me sitting outside, waiting for my room, for nearly an hour. Turned out my room had been ready ages, the woman just thought I was someone else and had already booked in....not a great start at all. Nothing not to like, forgot shower cap so a disposable would have been appreciated in the box of toiletries supplied, but didn't ask and sure if I had done something would have ben sorted. forgot to take my walking boots so didnt go for my early morning walk such a shame as it was a lovely country setting I will take them next time. There was nothing not to like. Difficult initially to find, narrow access etc, best approached from Rownhams lane and not the Toothill way, Romsey. Nil. Stay was too short. Shared fridge, not a problem if other guests hadn't filled with all sorts of things. It is meant for water and milk not half a weeks shopping!. Shower was good put the shower head points down against the wall - needs fixing to make the shower better. the road to this hotel is very narrow, and you have to watch out for a bump in the road that catches on the underside of your car!.
