    We are walking from John o Groats to Lands End and used the West Highland Way as part of the route. Ashbank is right on the West Highland Way and was perfect for us. We received a very warm welcome and were instantly made to feel at home. Varuious eating places near by. having just completed the west highland way this was one of our top two.

    Staff were very welcoming, breakfast was awesome and everything was very clean. We had the small room, and it was very small, but looked out over the back garden...lovely view, very quiet!     John and Rosemary made us feel really welcome. The suprise bottle of bubbly to help us celebrate a special birthday was wonderful. The 'taxi' service and loan of the torch for the walk back from the pub. Johns wonderful cooked breakfast that set us up for the day.     My boyfriend and I both stayed at Jackie's B&B whilst cycling from Edinburgh to Glasgow. We could not have asked for a warmer response, she kindly dried our wet clothes for us as we were soaked through after an extremely wet day of cycling!!The small touches she added to the room made the stay just like home but better!!     The building itself was very well presented to show off its glorious location and views to the rear. Inside was tastefully decorated and very much to my taste. The breakfast was excellent. To cap it all i was running a bit late and the owners ran me by car to my destination.     Everything. The room although simple was done out very nicely. There was a huge comfortable bed and a wardrobe big enough for all your clothes, even if you were staying a couple of weeks. The breakfast was really good and if you didn't want the full Scottish breakfast your could have any variation of it. The meals in the restaurant/bar were excell... what people say » ent as was the service. Overall a fantastic place to stay whether for one night, a few or several. - This property had been tastefully and sensitively restored. The room, en suite and restaurant were decorated to a very high standard. The room was a bit on the small side as was the ensuite but the superb décor took our minds off that. The restaurant offered very high quality cuisine and breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

    The big villa we found in the middle of a huge garden was astonishing, beautiful and elegant. The en-suite room was very good and confortable, too. But the real "extra" was the family who welcomed us, such a warm welcoming! Colin was a perfect host, nice, gentle and available, as his wife and daughter were. I would reccomend Powis House to all the - I stayed here while attending a training event at Stirling Management Centre as it was close (2.5 miles) and convenient. I received a warm and friendly welcome. The room was lovely, clean and stylish with plenty of traditional features. The room was cosy, spacious and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty with fresh coffee and plenty of choice for a vegetarian. We ate breakfast in a warm and sunny lounge that had the log fire burning. I would recommend staying here if you

    Diane and Matthew were very friendly and made us very welcome. The house was in a central location for us to visit the Trossachs, Lochearn, Loch Tay, Aberfeldy, Loch Lomond. The house was exceptionally clean, good sized rooms, large bathroom/shower. Breakfas was delicious. Mathew & Dianne are very friendly and generous hosts. Mathew is a gourmet cook and will prepare a sumptious breakfast according to your taste. Dianne is a talented embroideress who will show you her studio where she creates her tapestries & quilts.
